Forgive Me Not

by Atul

If I ever break your heart Or fracture your trust, Never forgive me. Forgive me not If I ever betray you— Curse my soul forever to rot. Oh honey, I promise you To remain your husband, In health or otherwise. I shall be yours— Exclusively. Always. Yours I am— Today, tomorrow, and forever, In joy and in gloom. But should I lose my faith, Curse me without mercy; I shall suffer for it. You descended into my life; You I shall forever prize— My one and only wife.
