My page for English 5

by gabe-ortega

The instructor said , Go home and write A page tonight And let that page come out of you --- Then, it will be true "I wonder if it's that simple ?" To write a poem To connect , to correlate, to associate For I cannot perceive life Like any other man Life is pain and anguish Pain, seeing the you love most suffer And not being able to do do anything about it It's seeing them perish into the arms of fate Born in a time where money is power And justice was an option Where someone's life can be taken in broad daylight without a trace; An uncle Happiness Is temporary This is true Makes you think Do these effigies ever cross Langston Hughes grave ? Does he sit and ponder like I have Digging deep into my brain and heart Trying to feel love and comfort Because I was raised by my mother And longed the love of a father This is true And this is where my assignment begins A 16yr old kid with dreams... Dreams of believing , for he was an agnostic ; the belief in doubt This is true For I dislike the minds of people from society So contaminated and easily manipulated by the venom of society I am as you are Lost A speck during the Dust Bowl Craving purpose This was true . This is my page for English 5
