I miss you

goodbye may be the hardest word

I never got to say to you

my denial was stronger than my grief

now I'll keep those loose ends forever

as it's my last link to you

time goes on, the yarn unraveling

the end further and further away

till I can no longer see the despair

of our last hug with you already in such pain

the image of you being carried cemented in my brain

Now I'm just left with a dieing spool of yard

and the word I'll never get to say to you

goodbye.
