I will be Envious.

I will be envious of the snowflakes that fall to kiss your skin. For they are nearer than my lips have been.   Oh, I am Envious of snowflakes. I will be envious of the sunlight that is warmed by your embrace. For if I could only see your face.   Oh yes, I am Envious of sunlight. I will be envious of the days I don’t get with you, envious of the nights too. Truly, I am envious of the days and nights not spent with you. So as sand slips through hands You slip through mine. It is hope that I have and hope that I will hold.                                      So as I go through another day untold, I will be envious of the time that will unfold.                                                  Time without us Oh, and so another day:    Another day of Envy.
