Behind Me

by fa12amstorm

"You'll always look back and find me," he said with a smirk. I turned around and said the words my lips had been dying to say for some time now, "I know. But the reason I'll be looking back at you and the places I've been is because I'll be making sure the people I'm with and the places I'm going look nothing like what's behind me." His face fell as I turned away, I guess he realized I was right. I would say he broke my heart, except for the fact that it isn't true. The only thing he did was set it free.
