Green fairy (Abstinence)

by tammy-m-darby

Those who seek the “La Fee Verte” The universe of blue flames and sugar cube dreams. One taste of the magical liquid upon the lips And to the wiles of the emerald sprite You willingly submit But beware, this temptress is not what she seems The delicate liquid candy is slowly consumed While to you her eerie song is sung Soothing to the soul, it is This alluring wormwood concoction And oh, so intoxicating on the tongue With each drop of sweetness into the chalice of jade Into the pool of other worlds, you will fall Another victim of the siren who lives in the bottle Until addiction and adoration rule your life Enslaved, waiting for the green fairy's call. @All Rights Reserved Tammy M.
