Venus Rise
Orien Autumn May 2012
There's a simpleness to Saturn, as it shines into night.
Dancing all through Virgo, bouncing off the light.

I viewed it through a telescope, hidden in the stars.
Then I turned to the west, and saw the red man Mars.

After which I looked for the man on the moon, sitting in his glow.
But sadly though he did not show.

Then with a sigh I realized, that tonight there was no moonrise.
And all there was, was darkness, burning in my black eyes.

So I moved into a field of green.
To get the view of what's unseen.

I saw the north west sky beyond the trees.
My curiosity had reached at it's peak.

For there lay the bright and glorious Venus.
And all the land that lay between us.

She shined and put the stars to shame.
As if she won the cosmic game.

But when I looked I gave a shiver.
Because her brightness, was just a sliver.

And so I stood there in a daze.
Caught between her crescent phase.

I Love America
Orien Autumn Apr 2012
I love America,
I love Americans,
It's our diversity that makes us strong.
To attack us is to attack yourself.
I feel safe here.

I love the trees, and streams, and lakes.
I love the seas, and bars, and late summer nights.
I love the winter, I love the snow.
I love my girlfriend, although I wont tell her so.

Yes America is a wonderful place,
a utopia that spans earths face,
but even a utopia has things,
Things I hate.

I hate Democrats.
**** them.
I hate Republicans.
**** them too.

I hate gas cars.
**** them.
I hate coal,
**** that.

There's solar,
and wind,
an infinite source,
Why not become energy dependent?

I hate the current drinking age.
**** being under 21.
I hate the Cuban embargo.
They seem like good people.

I hate the drug wars.
**** them.
I hate the oil wars.
**** them too.

I hate the education system.
**** it.
There should be more days,
In every school year.

I hate college.
**** it.
It's so expensive.
Why not make it free?

I like the police,
they protect me,
but they also hurt me,
**** them.

I like prisons,
but I don't think they solve social problems,
So **** them,
We should find something better.

I hate unemployment.
**** it.
Everybody's useful.
Why can't we find a use for so many people.

I hate the government.
**** them.
**** big brother.
**** their plans and schemes.

We need a new government.
One that fixes problems.
One that finds solutions.
One without corruption.

I hate abandoned buildings,
there are so many,
I hate cement,
I hate highways.

I enjoy hunting,
I love guns,
but guns serve one purpose,
To destroy.

**** guns.
**** bombs.
**** tanks.
**** the military.

I hate the military.
Trillions of dollars up in flames.
We could have fixed the world.
But we destroyed it instead.

We could put all children through college,
We could take all children out of poverty,
We could keep all children safe,
But we don't.

I love America,
It's a great place,
I love other Americans,
They're good people.

But I hate Americans
I hate myself.
So **** me,
and *******!

Life is Heavy
Orien Autumn Apr 2012
The world's at your fingertip,
The midnight air grows heavy,
If you don’t want to take the trip,
Then go ahead and tell me.

Because I’m hurt and lost and never found
There's hearts on strings
Hear them pound
To think, and think, of better things

Things that make it better,
Take sips until you can feel the air,
and wonder why you left her...
Her lips, her touch, her laugh, her hair,
And all that makes things better.

Then with a crush, fall to the ground
That bottle’s like your throttle
It just spins, and spins, going round,
Spinning, spinning to the ground

This thing, my heart, will keep me up through night
I wont fall asleep, I don't feel right,
All I want is that dreamy ocean,
Which never, never happens,
Cause I’m lost, I’m lost, I’m in a fight,
With myself, and with my might.

Every Shade of Grey
Orien Autumn Apr 2012
Your emotions crumble………… like bricks of clay.
Colored………… every shade of grey.
A lucid dream,
A graveyard screams.
Your love is on my tombstone.
The sky is now a yellow foggy snow.
The ground is colder than your heart.
I’m so alone, walking slowly, softly, moaning, and growing weary? Tired? Ill?
I’m made with broken pieces. I’m filled with broken hearts. If I was smart I’d **** this pain. I’d drown in alcohol.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, and falling, without hope.
I called your name five times and woke.
Orien Autumn Apr 2012
I have not seen the month of May.
I have not seen the sun.
You have seen all my shades of grey.
You are the optimistic one.
My bed feels like a quiet tomb.
My bedroom is a cage.
Your eyes so bright they light the room.
And melt away my rage.
My skin feels hot and dry and old.
My mind is filled with skies unclear.
Your hand is the one I hold.
Yet your soft cheek holds a tear.
I fear that I could lose your heart.
As I tear myself apart.

And Shiver
Orien Autumn Apr 2012
Think backwards,
Think of better times.
Remind yourself of sunny days.
Think of flowers during May.
Think of trees and soft green leaves waving in the breeze, and golden birds, drifting in the golden sky as the sun is setting and people gather on the beach.
Think of summer storms and running in the rain.
Think of walking through the woods and splashing in the streams.
Streams that turn to rivers with crushing foaming waterfalls that tower in the mist,
Think of someone lovely,
Dream about a kiss,
Dream of lovely things, things that you will miss,
Think of the trees again in autumn, mosaic leaves of brown and red and yellow.
Tell no one what you’re thinking of,
Your love is but a secret.
Close your eyes
Fall to rest
And Shiver.

Starburst
Orien Autumn Apr 2012
You wake up each day looking for love.
Then one day it falls from above.
It’s sent so sweet it must be true.
Your heart will taste the new virtues.
And mundane life will reach its end,
when two new lives begin to blend.
For the night is when bright souls entwine.
Like the light of stars as they align.
So ignite their fuel, let loose their shine.
Or spend a life lost, looking, for some godsend.
Why not look for someone who you can spend,
an eternity alone with you?
As if they came and rescued you.
So fly to them like a dove.
Hold them close they are your love.

Let the Devil in
Orien Autumn Feb 2012
Let the devil in, it’s cold outside he’ll only be a minute.
All he wants are souls and things to make life more livable.
And if you shout to keep him out then maybe he’ll just beat it.
But he’ll find you and he’ll bind you and make your life so horrible.

So let him in, and give him some food and shelter.
Play some games and gamble souls in the end he’ll always win.
The devil’s gunna play his cards he’ll always play one better.
So have some fun he’ll soon be done, just let the games begin.

A squeaking, creaking, fills the room, the door swings softly in.
And with an air of lordly tide, the hansom devil steps inside.
He’s tall and bright and filled with sin.
So in this darkened dreary place let your soul confide.

Burnt crisp words flew from crusted lips as he sold a pretty lie to you.
And in return he’ll take the thing that died in you.

But it was yourself that did the deed, and hell was born inside of you.

The Sand in the Sunset
Orien Autumn Feb 2012
I see something that no man sees, an arctic frozen sunset.
I think the sand has turned to snow and snow will surely melt.
“If only” I cried, then I could go and see that.
And no Idea can conjure about the feelings that I felt.
My heart is melting mixing with the silt.
The rivers churn was washed me into the sea.
I’m a small tear drop of water from which an ocean’s built.
My hearts emotion in now a part of cold springs tea.
The swirling, churning, chilly life is filling me with guilt.
But in the end I’ll freeze again and you can merge with me.

The Closed Gallery
Orien Autumn Feb 2012
There’s an empty room filled with things but nobodies anywhere.
The lavish peace, the British saw when they still had the heir.
But now I see forgotten things locked away in there.
There’s a man in red elegance with the beauties of the day.
And some lonesome awful peacefulness that’s green, and blue, and gray.
In the corner was a pink and white striped couch, so elegant, so gay.
I can see the dying queen sitting in the forest.
Her body is so pale in the shade, where she’ll forever rest.
At least in this solitude she is looking her best.
The sad truth is that I think she is the ***** est.
Orien Autumn Feb 2012
There was a tick, tick, and ticking away falling with the sand.
Time passing, dropping, running away, falling through our hands.
In the end the kings and queens have failed to understand.
Orien Autumn Feb 2012
To **** her love with your death is but a tragedy.
The lucky few who find this fate are the ones who blindly see.
That in the end all love dies and so too will thee.
Orien Autumn Feb 2012
In the heat of summer a tiger ate the crocodile.
While peace was free upon the Nile.
And in good time the dead went west.
The east was left with a living crest.
This was stained with blood and vile.
And in the dark the mice could glean the riches that were left unseen.
Then greed took hold and ate the old, and hollow was left within.
So went the day when men killed mice and took what they had given.
The Nightmare in Detroit
Twas a blank night’s day when all our fear was given.
And in our dreams we found new things where escape was in believing.
To dance with death and scream in life gave one a thought of living.

Some Cosmic Mirror
Orien Autumn Feb 2012
If god can see everything then can he see himself?
Does he ever take a look to see the power of his wealth?
And does he have some majestic mirror to which he turns his lofty gaze?
Or does he avoid his truth like the picture of Dorian Grey?
So does he even know himself if he so surely knows all else,
Doesn’t he even wonder about his own true health.
And if he never took the trouble to look and see his Dr. Jeykll,
Wouldn’t there be a chance that he could also be the devil?
In one hand holding doves of good and righteous people,
And in the other snakes, and souls of all that’s lost and evil.
Well if he really answers prayers then why not our criticisms?
If he did he’d realize that we’re no longer sightless pilgrims.
And it sickens me to I see “disciples” with words like deadly venom.
So then it surely seems to me that god is but a dreamed up phantom.
The earth sometimes shakes and shudders when armies march to his anthems.
The shear blood lost in the name of god proves he’s made of phantoms.
And if god ever saw himself he’d surely disappear,
Because every little piece of him would run away in fear.
