#Naira
Most sought after #Naira is now in her gone glory.
The beggar despise her even on the streets of her country.
Oh! Who is gonna rescue her?
Like a rag, her eight borns surffers
The foreign currencies are now loved more as before
Anyone sent to rescue #Naira out there?
Let such tarry not.

WHEN NOBODY CARE
WHEN NOBODY CARES
TIME OF THOUGHT: LOST
DATE OF THOUGHT: LOST
OGUNLABI OLAJIDE YUSUF-Nativepen

When I was in blue
No one pitied me
You passed by
And had compassion for me
Sometimes the cloud gathers
Without given its resources
And all shoulder seems too tall to lean on
You passed by
And said come and rest
You shower my thirsty soil with rain
Then I grew up like a plant of the field
And my years of famine vanished
You adorned me with  royal ornament
And with a fine linen you  bound me
Gold and silver I am adorned with
You gave me the choice of flour, honey and oil
My fame you spread among all nations
Because of the splendor love you had bestowed on me
And I grow exceedingly to fit a prince
What a lovely father you are

Your worth is more than a precious stone
So cute,dependable, clever and unavoidable
Having you around me makes my being a meaningful
one
You are such a friend indeed
As grasses to the open field
As fishes to the oceans
And as butterflies to flowers
So is your presence in my life
You in my life
Brings flavour of millions fragrance
That charms my fears
And radiate my countenance
At all seasons of life
If I were to choose
You and attires of many colours
I would rather go for you
You worth more than riches and gold
Irrespective of my mood
You are my darling friend
Right in my hands
I will hold and held unto you
With all loyalty and sincerity
I will draw you close to my heart.
You are a friend indeed 'cos you are a friend in need.

The incorrigible judge of the universe
The voice of man's spirit
The breaker of the stone heart
You should get one

He pounds the accusssed heart to confession
A mortal pessil
The rod that punishes
The accused mind

He chastises the mind of kings and priests
He makes the most secretive to voice out
The arch angel in our heart
Who dare resist him

He changes the mood of a friendly one
Whenever they misbehave
He never condone any indiscipline around him
Whenever he sights any bad deeds

The ever faithful companion
He is no respecter of anyone
You should get one
You sincerely need one

Dear friend
Do you have a conscience?
Dear friend get one
You really need to.

DEATH
Umm...............
The end of mortals sojourn
An Au'gust visitor
A must all living dislike
Is there any armour against it?
A thief that strikes unnoticed
A snatcher
A destroyer
He snatches the forgotten
The free born
The most sought after
Even the loved one's are not left out
He snatches the kings maker
The princes and princess
The queens are not excluded
Not to talk of the kings
He is a cruel messenger
He is no respecter of anyone
What a ruthless messenger
The offer of gold, brass and bronze
He rejects
The best attire in style never frick him
What a cruel you are
A ticket to the judgement hall
The leverage amongst all
He is not a friend of all classes;
Pauper,slave and the wealthy
Oh death
The breaker of the umbreakable bond.

PRISON WALL
Tall walls surround me
Several attempt seems impossible
Its just too tall to climb
Ever  pointed gun at the walls
By the men in uniform
All eyes on us
When will I see these walls from outside
My days I have spent dreaming
None of these in them
Oh!sweet home I crave
When will I have it back
The God given choice of life
Nothing of such is paramount
My thought is always of home
Uniform all through days
My voice comes from nowhere
But behind a shut gate
With a rat hole window to the south
But yet shows the beauties of the night in the skies
All my thirst is freedom
If possible I would have turned the hand of time
For I know the day is fast approaching
The day I will step into the free world
No matter my offence
I will one day go a free man
I know a king is about to reign
A merciful king
I shall obtain His favour
And I shall be freed.

Neither sun nor rainfall
Would restrain me from welcoming you

WHEN THE DEED IS DONE

TIME OF THOUGHT: LOST

OGUNLABI OLAJIDE YUSUF- Nativepen

Was anyone around then?
Was there no one to caution?
When the deed is been done
Was there a person, was there no one?

I wonder where?
All the wise one have gone to
When the deed was done

When was the deed done?
Was it done at night?
Was it in the morning?
Or broad noon day?
I still wonder when

I wonder if the moon was aware
And the glowing star
When all was done

Deep in the flesh it has passed
Before we realised
Down in the bone it has penetrated
What a pity
Oh! the deed has been done

What a decay
What a ruin
Hmm, who are to pay

What can we say?
When the keepers
Were found sleeping
What else can we say?
When they are the say

That heaven will fall
Is not one's problem
All of us will pay

What can we say then?
When the wise men are ignored
When the eyes of the watcher
Have been trampled on
And the strength of the strong ones
Have been quenched with threat

The deed is fast spread
The impact kills gradually
Yet solution is  unknown

The deed has been done
Remedy! Remedy!Remedy!
We all cry for
Restoration ! Restoration!
Our land cries for.

INDEPENDENCE
INDEPENDENCE
TIME OF THOUGHT: 01:15AM
DATE OF THOUGHT: 22/03/2010

Oh! Oh! Oh!
Our soul cries
The thought of 'it' strucked us all
We are indeed thirsty for freedom
We compromised not
And we fought it all

Whilst other folks were feasting
Our thoughts are always of freedom
Freedom from here to other side

Through oneness of our souls
We payed the price at once
Do not be oblivious being
For our shadows are here
To hunt all enemies of our sacrifices
Day after day

Oh! let there be independence
Oh! let there be freedom
Our splased blood on the battle front cries

You have barter and trade
All we fought for
With our hot-bitter sweat
Our sweat shall avenge
Vengeance on all enemies of freedom
Vengeance we call for

Should you forget?
Do you want to go back to slavery?
Oh! you dont want to

Our dearly father sacrificed all
Mama was not scared
Even our dearly brother went away in the fight
And the helpless sister of ours is no more
Do remember
Our shadow are  still here

Let there be..................
Don't  enslave yourselves
Freedom is honey
Honey is sweet
And, the bee that gives honey equally stings.

I GAT MY DEEPER FEARS
Indeed, I gat my deeper fears
The one I will live to see
Not at all of the past
But just of the future

The coming future
The unknown
Not of the day old
But of the old age

When strength will reduce;
Vision become blurred
Kneels disengage the body
And all smartness shall be gone

When a staff
Shall be my third leg
And the smooth radiant skin
Will be wrinkle

When all my youthful flares
Will bid goodbye while am here
When the hand of time will turn
My children to my nanny

Hmm, what a future to wait upon
When all black turns grey
When my age will grow old
And turn my lombs to banana stalk

Thanks to the eastern wind that blown
Now I know the truth
Tha your smile is just a plastic one
My trust you finally ransomed

Your target I realised now
Nothing else but my trust
And the bond we share
You just broken

Where to hide?
The cloud is crystal clear
What do you have to say?
You are unmasked

Pretender!
My trust you barter
With nothing but
Your fake and rehearsed smile

Now I know why your smiles
Does not reach your face
You naught
A betrayer
You bogey

Be your own counsel
What have you to say?
Can I still trust you?
If you were me, would you?

Where from here
Art thou heading to?
On errand?
I believe
Oh! Wait and hear;
I have a message for 'them'
Branch up there
Tell them for us
That 'they' have done us evil
Tell 'them' their conscience is failing
And we are fainting of waiting
Tell 'them'
They vowed and swore
Vowed to wipe our tears
Swore to stand in for us all through seasons
Not to make it flow the more
Ask 'them' why they idle up there
While our land is wasting away
With our throat dried out of thirst
And our stomach twists daily of hunger
Tell 'them'
They are the leaf hoppers
That eats up our green land
Let them know
Their body language signals red-blood
And we are angry because of hunger
And they are cursed by what they have caused us.
Tell them
Their deeds makes our women a widow mother
And orphans of our innocent little children
They can never tell
What an hungry man will do
Because hunger is a  burning fire in the  bossom of an hungry man
To their conscience we awaits to judge them
This I beg you to deliver unto them
But please Raven, do not lead the wolf to them.

Oh mammy!
It's lunch time already
Debson's house are set
At the family table
For dinner is about to be served
Oh mammy, what took your time?
I thought the market is near
Mammy what kept you that long?
Thought your words never slipped
Why now?
Mammy should we fill the kettle for you?
Should we fetch the fire?
I can defroze the beef
If am permitted
Come quickly
Come quickly
Mammy, should we share the apples?
Cathe said we should go visit
To the Debson's house
Mammy should we?
Eeehn mammy?
Shouldn't we?
Because I know
You are almost home
Robinson, wont you go?
Wont you come along?
You know
Maybe she met a long time friend
At the market square
Who knows wether she lost her purse
Or missed the last train home.

I HAVE FRIEND
There is nothing to compare a friend with
Mine brings out the best in me
They connects and strengthens
Even when am in blue
And the sky is black
But am worried for the friendless
They wonder alone
Through the  thick journey of life
And misses the friendly sympathetic ear
Eve the shoulder to lean on
When crisis threatens
It is pitiable to be friendless
Imagine the life of the friendless;
They are like a teeth without the lips
Fish without a river
A flower without a sunshine
A butterfly without a nectar
A damsel without a lover
And a snail without its shell.
Do you have one?

IF I WERE TO TALK OF his PERSON(DEATH)
Even if I sleep walk
I wont mix my words
Yes I wont meant A and say Z
Yes I mean every bit of it
For there is no dumb being as you
Neither have I seen a blind like you
The hear you have is nothing but a plug in
My imagination never cease
To think (ponder) on how you operate
Had it mean you are not dumb?
Have you not heard of happy Catherine?
Were you blind althrough to see her countenance
Is as radiant as the morning sun?
Have you ever heard she was angry a minute?
Oh what a radiant smile we have missed
If not cruel, merciless, being you are
You would not have done this to us
And abruptly erase that contagious smile
You have done your best
Your worst, I know nothing of
Whether  you can bring her back alive
Yes we are grieved
We know we have lost a GEM
Happy Cath is no more.

MY QUATATION
Pen is a lifeless object with a lifeless substance and its blood is called INK.

Pen your thought down, if you write it, then it is right.

The pen that write the future may not live to see the future, why can't you use your pen judiciously when its very much alive?

Write it
Its right
Think upon it
Its thoughtful.

My pen is short and weak, but it is long and strong when it comes to words of wisdom.
Why are you doing this to yourself ?
But you are not a slave
You are a free born before now

Yes I know
For long you have been free born
Why this now ?

But she was not a slave
Was she born into slavery ?
Nay she wasn't

But why did she allow to be silenced ?
Like a marble with no life in it
And calm like a dead sea

Ah ! You have been silenced like a grave
They have made your land a desert
A pit hill of the aliens

There you stand
Having your gifts lies in ruin
Hmm,cry and rise for your restoration

Those of spoilt background and greedy mind
Have cracked her skull
And drained her out of life and strength

Day after day
They take away her breadth
Through their shady decisions

Now is the time
I mean the right time
To fight your cause

Wait a minute !
What is your name ?
Answer me

I am Nigeria
A country at Niger side
The giant of Africa

Did I hear you say GIANT ?
Giant don't freak
Common act like one

I am a lion
The precious gift of Africa
In me inbeded lots of natural resources

Then wake up
Act  it
And prove it

That you are indeed
The giant of Africa
That should be seen and heard.

NOT IN MY EYES
Don't judge my eyes (countenance)
Never imagine the height of my joy within
Though smooth and radiant as ever
Like the sun that rises in its time
Early in  the morning time
Seems no pains in it all
Though the gains in  there is ever felt
So sincerely,its not it
My heart weeps
As my leave draws near
Your company, I must say
Cheers me up always
Your lovely personalties
Constantly boost my ego
Oh ! How I wish.............
I turn the hands of time
To suit my desires
Alas ! That can never be
I must confess my love to you all
You all made my stay a memorable one.
It's a life
It's stronger than gold
It's primary part of life
Without it no being

Something harder than mustard seed
Substance thicker than water
It attract more than magnet
Is a cherish substance

An unbreakable cord
That connects the child,
The father and the mother together
A material for irreversible
Covenant on the cross of  Calvary
Don't. Toil with it

Ever best redeemer's material
Used on the cross
Cherish it, keep it, don't shed it
Blood is life
Blood is a seal.
Always in my hearing
Each time I ran out of my track
My conscience shouts!
You have been warned Olajide
It shouted so many times
Remember,says mother's voice

So soon to have forgotten
Mother seated at the edge
Of her wooden bed
At the corner of her bed saying
''Olajide my son
You are my hope

My season
My morning, noon and evening time
The seed
I have been watering
My vineyard you are''
My conscience remember me

All parent are sowers
All they need is a return
A bountiful one
My son, my son
Are you counting my calls
And you said yes

You are my seed
Be viable
You were implored
Don't be spoilt
And know the son of whom you are

My whole go with you
As whole of snell shell
Goes all ways with it
Mother prayed
As you stepped out
To the future

As the spinner are never,
Tired of spinning their cotton
The weaver works on their
And fire blazes always in the,
Blacksmith hut
Mother's voice, remember
My conscience says.
Oh ! My hope
When will thou be?
When will thou be ?

Where art thou gone to ?
Hope your sojourn is not far from near ?
For my patience is on the line

Wait a minute
How long should I wait ?
For am fainting already

Hour is turning to days
Days into another
Weeks into month

Months into year
Years into decade
Decades into century

My hope
When will you actually be
For time wait for no one

Oh ! My hope
Do not tarry long
That I may not be worry

Come quikly around
I have waited enough
Come quikly around.
Oh ! My hope
When will thou be?
When will thou be ?

Hope your sojourn is not far from near ?

It breaks into another
That has never been experienced
By any other

It sees both today and day before
As one breaks in, another breaks out
And this remains a mystery forever

Yet, no one understands how
The unknown takes the full use of it
Mystery,the event of the hour

One part takes the upper hand
While the other loses out
The ........shed hour it is

Hour filled with battle
Hour of negotiation
Mystery is all through

Hour of mixed events
Hour of war
Not of welfare

Is an hour of warfare
Hour of victory
Hour of power

Rather be on the look
Better be in the realm
On my feet at all time

Eyes open all time
Who knows,do you know?
Mystery is all through.
How can I tell it all
Of the comfort that lies at your back
And the sweet warmth of your arms at all time

From you I ****** the courage
I needed to to move on
And in your eyes I see my strength

Mother, your presence
Is my pride
Your voice alleviate my fears

Surely mother, I shall always remember
The vigil kept at my cranny
Oh dear mother
You are just my heaven on earth.
