We've all got battles,
but it takes a real soldier to know,
how to take it quietly,
not just **** and moan.
They put you on the front lines,
of their battle made for men.
You don't know what you're doing,
you're just a little over ten.
They say this is 'reality'
but really, its just theirs.
You're not old enough to understand,
they're not mature enough to care.
You've been set out to fight,
this battle like its your own.
Meanwhile, you've got other things,
that are attacking your own home.
They don't see how much you're dealing with,
ignorance is bliss.
But the more you fight, the more you try,
the more at home you miss.
Just a soldier, not a child.
You're nothing in their eyes,
they'll push you till you're old enough,
to fight who they despise.
Forced to grow up early,
that is the life for most,
Learning about drugs and other things,
when you cant even make toast.
We're pushed and pulled by society,
Whats right, whats wrong,
its the same old story,
its the same old song.
So, now that my words,
have been taken from my head.
I guess its time to face the facts,
and live the life I've led.
