Vibrancy
All feels right
The pain secedes
The future’s bright
The guilt precedes

The sleepless nights have now passed
Onto soundless slumber
I want you here
For we understand.

I relate, and so can you
From me to you,
Please save me from the blue
And fill my heart with color

Vibrant beating of our souls
Seamless to one’s own
Forever in your arms
Is the place where I belong

Mine
What belongs in the space in which my heart beats?

For the only thing that I believe to belong;
which truly belongs in my heart is
the piece of you that is forever mine.

Your heart is mine, your soul forever yours.
Intertwined with mine.
The specks of color create a rainbow of interests,
contrasting colors mingling into a sweetness;
an array of feathers of the most colorful parrot.

Our futures mapped out in the stars of the heavens,
observed by the ancient civilizations.
Separated or connected,
this moment has been mapped,
our fates already melted into one,
to be split,
or to be torn
or forever connected.

You are forever mine,
and I am forever yours.
My heart belongs to you
as my soul wanders with you,
loved by you.
And only you.

I'm here
The platform of my feet
  The weakness of my knees
The flit of butterflies in my stomach

My mouth begins to smile
My thin lips shielding the imperfection of my teeth
My  eyes twinkling from the constellations above
My hair a frizz,
as always.

      I see him

He smiles a crooked smile
His eyes a clear sky blue,
He extends his hand

I grab it, my nails unpainted and bitten to nubs.

He whispers
“You’re beautiful”

I smile, revealing my teeth.

                My imperfections
Mean
Nothing

The butterflies fly away as we walk together toward

Anywhere

Life
Life is not a race.
                        its a test
                               of endurance,
                                    overcoming obstacles.
and finding out who you are.
It is not about who finished last,
                                                or who won the gold,
Its about the ones who made it.
                               who actually completed the test.
                                                                    who survived.
                        and those who believe,
                                     will complete the test,
the ones who will win the race,
in their own hearts, souls and  minds.
