Hero

My hero does not wear a cape,
Nor does he have any powers.
My hero does not hide behind a mask,
But flaunts his face with no fear.
My hero saves lives every day,
Without even trying.
My hero is not a person,
But instead a band.

I’m sinking
Sinking so deep into the sea
Somebody save me

Help me to see the light
And the sun shining oh so bright
Warming my head to toe
Help me to see again

Save me from this sorrow

This is about my experience with depression. I wrote this to try to let my parents know of how bad I was feeling but didn't have the courage to give it to them.

Stab me through the heart
With your weapon of choice

I missed hearing your voice
But then it came time for us to break

I'm a moth in a swarm of butterflies,
Easy to pick out,
Easy to talk down.

For once keep me out of your thoughts,
All they do is hurt me
And make me cry.
