It wasn’t the usual face of yours, you weren’t you
Never did I dare to show that I had got the hue
Though I wondered why your smile was fake and words so few
I searched in vain for your warmth but was frozen by the new you !

I should have known that happiness has a moth’s life,
One moment it flutters and the next moment it dies.

In your eyes swam the pain , brought by the unsaid
Your sight, a vaccine for my sorrows now felt burdened instead
Then I realized, with each passing second in my presence your burden was being fed
I forced a smile , and orphaned my eyes to survive this moment I always dread

I should have known that I was sailing in the mercuried lake of fantasy
Though my mind has drowned, am no wet, am forced to deem it all a fallacy

Ages have passed , but my mind still rewinds and plays the scenes of the time
You said it was over, deafening my ears with the sound of broken chime
I tried to flee,but my legs wont leave until i bear the bitter punishment of my sweet crime
Oh no !..those were not words of love, but an arbit stanza from a rhyme

I should have known that eternal love can exist with only ones own soul
So wrong was I to believe that I will be accompanied in my every stroll….

Look at the sky, this can't be true,
The waves of passion splashing bright hue;
Wetting the world with sweet vapours, an aura so new,
Am I in the cradle of heaven? I have no clue.

I fear my churning emotions, vulnerable and timid,
Slumber is now a traitor under my closed eyelid;
Shhh … those are whispers of Aphrodite and Cupid,
Silencing all my doubts,”is it a sin I did?”

Never before have I fought a battle so sweet,
Arrows struck, heart swelled with its heat;
I surrender; in this war I gladly accept defeat,
Laying all my weapons at your feet.

I was a delicate glass, being filled with the royal wine,
Careful not to spill an ounce, even under the stress of a tine;
Could I enquire, such addictive taste exists in whose vine?
A magic which could make nectar out of nicotine.

How could a slight gaze invoke such mountains of desire?
Veins which never existed now tingle with fire;
In resonance to your presence, my senses change attire,
I can’t find my heart. Did you steal, borrow or hire?

Roars of celebration, as clarity weds confusion,
Heart and mind continue to exist as characters of fiction;
Is it LOVEocracy or LOVEarchy ? Hold election,
How have I been conquered? I need depiction.

The pixels of sanity escape, leaving behind tender pores,
How do I fill these? I spot only a single recourse;
To inhale the oxygen of happiness, I have none but a single source,
Who can squeeze, topple, and bounce my heart, without a trace of force.

I would reform from a flower to a drooling leaf,
Am lustrous and luminous only under your ownership, you thief!
You wouldn’t depart from this sack of gold is my belief,
I would always possess a memory of our time is my relief…
For all those who have been touched by the breeze of love….

Never imagined life to be so complicated,
Could somebody tell me what’s wrong and what’s right;
Hippocracy and fearlessness are the partners whom I haven’t dated
With an affair with them, sadness and guilt have taken their plight.

What do I do? Am so **** confused,
Am in grave need of an extra supportive soul;
So could somebody get me and my shadow fused?
To confront the challenges and reach my goal.

Wish I had a mind which could practically see things in black and white,
Never once halting to wonder why I did, the things which I did
But regretting is one of my mind’s hobbies, flooding my eyes in the darkness of the night
I want to gather myself and attain stability, am scared of a gradual mental breakdown as time slid.

I keep searching for the definition of my existence
Searching for the pieces which could help complete this puzzle,
But I wake up every morning, giving god the day’s attendance
Only to stay confused and put on a muzzle.

She was stripped and ***** before millions,
       but she made herself believe it was not us but few aliens;
why else do you think she stands ***** gathering all her resilience,
       to provide us food, oxygen and shelter throughout the four seasons.

Every night, she wonders about her fate at dawn,
       Would she be able to greet the sun with that lazy yawn;
Her mates are dead in a battle they had forgone,
       Now, she awaits her turn, death is pleasing than being forlorn.

Consumed with fear, the leaves once fresh, now greyed and withered,
       She is too pained to decide whether to fight or stay a coward;
Before the first cut of axe, she asks “what have I erred?”,
       But we have long since lost our sensitive hearts, her cries are left unheard.

What goes around comes around, do we realize that?
       Every tree lost makes the world less amiable to adapt,
having brutally sinned, are we ready to face the impact?
       Our acts let them bleed; now let’s get ready to don their hat.

We can’t give birth to a battalion to fight the nature’s army,
       Coz our Hitlers and Napoleons are no match for their blazing heat or tsunami.
These are conflicts, which cannot be resolved by a bishop or an attorney,
       we are adhered to doom when the nature says “the war is between you and ME”.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the second best time
is now – a Chinese proverb
