You come like a whirlwind
enfold me
and turn into a gentle breeze pervading through me

Tingling feeling playing on my back
you move through my soul
and see everything

A place of discovery where I allow you to find me

All an unforgettable dance
with your love carved in
as the wind lays down and you leave the platform
I wait for you for another dance

It lies in your hands
Nadia van Rooyen Aug 2016
Put the palm of my hand against yours
It will not hesitate to feel small
Insignificant
Gives you that ego boost
That you are so desperately looking for
But it holds the power to support

It holds
The power of perseverance,
hard work and creativity
It does not flinch when when it works like yours
It does not shy away
Instead it makes the grip firm
Unwilling to easily give up

You explore the back of my hand
While I learn to know the shape of your heart

Our hands are the messenger
The communicator
Without them we would be lost
Hands tell stories
They create

Hold my hand like the stars hold the sky
Don't let go
Your valleys fills my edges
Heads that just want
Hands just be hands
Chase with fingers proposal
Images of clothes stripping

Black is
Nadia van Rooyen Jul 2016
Why see black as ugly
Black also portrays beauty
Elegance of midnight
It is mysterious, timeless
Show a beginning and ending

Out of black's deepest darkness;
Pain forms writers
Inner hurt creates art
It enters the soul
Ignites your heart

So paint with tears
Write with Black
Pour out the anxiety
Wash of the ugliness
Bring back the beauty

Because of my darkness
I shine
Because of my scars
I am beautiful

Black test your limits
Your sight
Sense of direction

Black is the pupil of the eye
But it lets you see
the color of the soul

Without the basis as black
I would not be able to establish my color

The snow lies like a blanket
White on the plains
Like a fairy tale

Inside, it's you and me
And everything that can keep us warm
"Smile"

The fireplace smoldering
The sound of wood crackling
The smell of a *** of coffee
Cuddly blanket beckoning

Still the cold calls one out
The rustle of the branches talking
But we rather stay inside
So we see the naked beauty bestowed
Staring out the window

As you come to stand by me
Folding your arms around me
My flame burning
Showing on my cheeks

So will spring and summer come again
From white and gray to yellow and green

Tunnel dream
Nadia van Rooyen Jul 2016
A dream to say the least
Darkness committed by conviction
Visualize the entrance
A cold whistling screams adventure

Enter through the entrance
Calloused hands, fragile fingers
Stroke against the tunnel wall
Disappear deeper

The grin on the face,
Terror within
Once again escape the anxiety
Courage will thrive

The vastness fallows emptiness
Calling to continue
I hummed a song to an old tune

The tunnel disguises oblivion
The sound of my feet echoing

You called me here
Why really this abandoned tunnel
From whom are you hiding?

A weak fire burning
I walk closer

Your figure rigid in the dark
A soft whisper leaves your mouth
“Come and sit with me”

Sitting here next to you
Taking in the heat of the fire
You taking my hand
Starring at my face

In your eyes I can see
The thoughts tormenting you

Tell me your stories and secrets
