I look at the world
I don't see myself

Insignificant

Alone

But then I see so much
So much potential

No push

Motivation that's there
But only to mock

I build envy
To all and everything
"I want this! I want that!"
I want it all

All of myself

So much to do
So much time
But it's all wasted

Wasted looking at the world

Wasted not seeing myself

Wasted feeling insignificant

Wasted feeling alone
Old perspective

Love
Thought to be everything
Then felt to be nothing
In the end love is there
Love brings passion
But it is far too often played with and the term far too carelessly used

How do I be who you want
When I'm not who I want to be

How do I take the pressure you put on me
When I can't take the pressure I make myself

How do I ask for your help
When I don't try to help myself

How do I tell you how I feel
When I'm not even certain

The lies and slander
I speak of myself
The false images
In which I present myself
The treacherous feelings of hope and success
I so carelessly give

Who am I to write these words
Who am I to say anything
Who am I
Words, words I'm not sure I even fully understand.
Old poem.
