what I'm waiting for;
I'm lost here wondering if itll ever
show it's face. beneath
the eye lashes, on the
bridge of your cheeks,
is where
I rest.
So when those eyes
open, you look past &
I am forever a speck.
the days we jump
past and the nights we
don't sleep.
its proving a constant
battle, up in this state,
a shifted mentality I am
constructing into
concrete.
taking the
days
by
one
and never losing count
of what stayed.
there is love on life and if its a matter of,
"finding it" then you're
already down for the count.
the key to living is
wrapping yourself around that statement,
and knowing what to do
when it unveils its
ugly *******
face.

Drained of rights and wrongs; I hugged a musician
today on third and Burnside,  bought him a doughnut
and gave him the change. Some faces, some melody's
catch me, prove me wrong. Just like her voice, its
key in my favorite tone.

Ill go farther
Ill scream louder
Ill stomp harder
To the beat I thought would take us out
of this place. Just you and I.
Because life is flooded with words that
sound the same and people
that have no eyes.

Its like saying goodbye
to an old friend;
the lines on paper that
always got
me by. Two pages left,
but hundreds already
down. I've manuevered
them specifically, to try
and hear a sound.
A shake, a shift, in the
faults. To maybe see what's
really left of what I
wanted to be lost. A
fragile, tiny factor, in

the "grand scheme", that
gets us so caught up.
