You asked me so casually,
as if I was some sort of a character
from a video game, you were playing,
with a couple of extra hearts to spare.

But the heart is strong,
      it breaks
           over and over;
   but still lives,
      and still loves.

Persisting.

i've been on this road for so many times,
it didn't mean anything.
but i took it once with you,
and it's never the same again.

my infernal grace.
my heroine - a monster in disguise,
dressed in white,
divulged with elegance,
feeding on the souls of the romantics.

i should have known
in a hindsight.
my love, you are a curse,
draped with blinding lace
of golden threads.

oh, you have deceived a deluded
with your amber eyes,
illuminating through and through
on every inch
of my body.

but what is there to lose,
if i had already given my life to you
even before it started,
every beat,
every breath?

Is there a possibility
of a juncture in this lifetime,
that our paths will cross
and love is reciprocated?

we are on both ends
of the spectrum.

never meeting
halfway.
