Faithless Prayer
Moses Mireles Apr 2016
Another night spent without your embrace.
Vision stained with drops of your face...
The photos still smile but will remain lifeless.
Heart still taken as I remain wifeless.
Blood shot eyes and a tight chest.
Hopeless like im stranded with no life vest...
Love lost due to questions that never needed answers.
Probably couldve saved things if i had just known how to ask her..
but i harassed her and bashed her...
The sudden lack of laughter...
Thoughts of a tight rope hanging from the rafters....
But on the rope was my dreams and hopes..
Like matching last names and a house on a *****...
But i made my bed in which i now lay.
Not religious but for her I still pray,
That god preserves her and serves her a man that deserves her... always holds his tongue and does nothing to hurt her...
Makes her laugh like we did when we first met..
Gives her memories she never forgets..
A man who loves her obsessions, accepts her confessions, and can manage to turn arguments to lessons.
And mistakes from the past are the last thing he mentions...
My love was pure...
and through pain I endured..
Would let my heart die if it meant hers would be cured...
So this is my message I throw from the shore...
My heart turned to text I can say nothing more.
If read and felt I hope you pray too...
For that sweet brown eyed girl... and precious mother of two..
