Miss Hannah Oct 2011
The water will freeze
as it falls
The stinging winter breeze
burns my arms
I move through the door
and out of harms
way. the snow
first cold, then warm
drips on the floor.
Miss Hannah Oct 2011
Twinkling lights
flash across the night's sky
and my inward eye
when I think of winter.
I think of snow and blowing wind,
it makes me shiver.
Suddenly, I wish it was summer.
Miss Hannah Oct 2011
Changing leaves
skipping under my feet
pumpkin faces
staring up at me
corn falling
colder weather
whooooooooooshing in
Birds of a feather
fly south together
Miss Hannah Oct 2011
Witches and Goblins
creeping and sneaking
Vampires and coffins
draining and creaking

The hairs on my neck rise
and I turn around
For anyone who is wise
would not leave their
back open when
Halloween creatures
are to be found!
Miss Hannah Oct 2011
In the evening
the light fades
As the sun sleeps
so does my summer
Miss Hannah Oct 2011
Pictures
looking at me
full of old memories
They hang on my wall; in my heart
Also
Miss Hannah Oct 2011
On the mountain side
A waterfall plunges down
I stand still, Amazed.
