2) Don't fall under the spell of White Hegemony
3) Try to be kind to those that treat you badly
4) Open yourself up to people that you aren't sure won't break your heart
5) Do #4 again.  And again.  And again.

The Storm Outside
Mishka Oct 2013
There are trees crashing down on the roads
and my brothers is silently praying because he is 12
and I told him it's a tornado
I can't get through to my mum on her phone
to tell her not to drive home
because she's lost her glasses and can't see anything
I keep hearing her voicemail

My heart is thudding
My brother is praying
and I can't get through to my mother
while the wind howls outside
and the car alarms sound off

Dear Bukowski
Mishka Oct 2013
Dear Bukowski
were you depressed?
or did the monotonous repetition of your everyday struggles with the stupidity of the people around you just always end with a poem?
Did you smile when you weren't drunk?
Were you as invincible as your writing makes you seem?
I like you a lot
That makes me no different to the people you complained about all day but it's fine
You'd probably not care what I said to you
Just stare at my *** and my lips
Daydream about ******* me
and then write a poem about me

Wake up you idiots
Hear the bones you forgot to stretch
creaking like a rocking chair
grinding their joints together
they smell like death
And I wonder why
When your bones will be the only thing left of you when the earth goes to bust

Look up you morons
The sky will not be blue forever
You might as well get a good long look
(Hey Mister, take a picture!  It'll last longer)

I have spent so much time telling myself to shut up that I just stopped talking
No, I forgot how to
I want to tell all those suckers who I stopped speaking for
that one day when the sky explodes
all that will be left of them will be their bones
and if they didn't take calcium
Maybe not even that
So get off your high horses

Please don't leave me here
I don't want to join you yet
But you're making me

I can't seem to find the mirror any more
It was square and silver and pretty and it showed me who I was
I've lost it or it's been stolen and since then
I can't seem to see myself properly
Can you help me please?
I'm scared that I've disappeared forever

I walked on the sidewalk at night when my parent's were asleep
Because they don't allow me out at night
And I saw a cat cross the road
It walked along for a bit and then jumped up comically
I walked over to see what happened and it hissed at me
It's tail as thick as my upper arm
I saw a frog on the floor next to it, dead
As I walked home I didn't know whether to laugh or cry
