If ones name is but a glimpse of their soul
Then we are simple machines on cruise control
When you put a name on a term such as love
Then it is merely but a concept you speak of
For desires so rich, not a single word can describe
No wealth in this world enough to my heart bribe

A bed of roses merely a vision of nature’s beauty
For it was I that to you, failed to perform my duty
To your door I’ve tried and tried many times to knock
But you only slam the door, and closed it with a lock
On the exterior, you showed nothing and stood so tough
That this word called love would never be enough

But there I stood, hoping for a chance, a beginning anew
That day in my heart, looking in your sweet eyes I knew
At this moment, I realized that I only had a single shot
That then our hearts would melt like chocolate in a ***
Eye to eye, we shared a gaze, one of eternal bliss
For it was that day we together shared a single kiss

If you must go, then go for a while
Remember that first step is a hard traveled mile.
To learn what lessons life has in store,
You must be willing to open each door.
Don’t be afraid to experience something new
For each experience will be a benefit to you.

Never live your life in the past
Enjoy every day as if it were your last
Mistakes you will make along the way
Learn from them, and you’ll be okay
Set your goals high and strive for them
As long as you try, you’ll never be condemned
Be kind and respect the people you meet
For they may be the ones to make life complete

Be sincere in everything you do
And treat others as you wish they would you
Whatever you do, make sure you’re content
For the last thing you want is something to resent
So if you must go, then go for a while
And when you return, return with a smile.

I as once sad and lonely,
Having nobody to comfort me,
So I wore a mask that always smiled;
To hide my feelings behind a lie.

Before long, I had many friends;
With my mask, I was one of them.
But deep inside, I still felt empty,
Like I was missing a part of me.

Nobody could hear my cries at night
For I designed my mask to hide the lies.
Nobody could see the pain I was feeling
For I designed my mask to be laughing.

Behind all the smiles were the tears
And behind all the comfort were the fears.
Everything you think you see,
Wasn’t everything there was to me.

Day by day,
I was slowly dying.
I couldn’t go on,
There was something missing..
Until now I’m still searching

For the thing that’ll stop my crying.
For someone who’ll erase my fears,
For the person who’ll wipe my tears.

But till then I’ll keep on smiling.
Hiding behind this mask I’m wearing.
Hoping one day I can smile,
Till then, I’ll be here..
waiting.

The human mind is such a place
It’s so wonderful, it leaves me amazed
God gave man so much talent
It’s hard to believe how we can keep balance
Between this world and Wonderland

Between this world and Wonderland
The world of fantasy is just so alluring
How we can dive in and get lost
Build worlds without any cost
The only cost of living in fairyland
Is time, my friend, time won’t stand
It won’t stand and wait for you

As you dream about things that won’t come true
But it pulls you in and keeps you there
You want to stay and not go anywhere
The world we live in, it moves too fast
It will call you out and release you from its grasp

Because we all have our way to go and promises to keep
So we can only go there when we are asleep
Wonderland, Wonderland, how we wish it to come true
But not everything in this world goes the way we want it to

says he’s leaving.
He’ll be gone about a year.
He’s headed off to fight the war,
And his time is drawing near.
I have no words of wisdom,
To ease our aching hearts.

He’ll be gone and I’ll be here,
A thousand miles apart.
The danger that soldiers face,
He knows it all too well.
Still, he keeps our spirits up,
As our throats begin to swell.

The morning comes all too fast,
I’m not prepared at all.
Because I know there is a chance,
My soldier won’t come home.
My soldier is a strong man,
One that’s brave and true.

He’s not afraid of dying,
He fights for me and you.
So if you see a soldier,
Give him lots of praise.
Tell him that you’re thankful,
You see the price we pay.
