You are a Californian wave.
You are a new daisy opening up.
You are the sea on my skin.
You are the trees and the shadows.
You are the imperfections in my skin.
You are a new born babies laugh.
You are the sound of rain.
You are the bitterness of winter.
You are the feel of hot chocolate.
You are the smiles of billions.
You are the emptiness in my bed.
You are the love in every being.
You are the happiness in many.
You are the life in me.

The bitterness of it all still lingers,
In every single person that knew you.

I think of you, every now and then.

Everyone needs your smile back,
Because it was the only thing bright
In that school of ours.
Now you've gone into a paradise of

Summer, something will always

Be missing. You're probably in a better,
Peaceful place, I like to think.
I hope you are. I hope you're getting

Everything you ever wanted, and I

Hope and pray that one day,

Just one day, we'll meet again and

We'll fly away.

I love you, wherever you are Caitlin,

It doesn't matter, as long as you're safe.
You'll forever be in our hearts.
This poem is very personal. As are all my poems, but especially this one. I found, after Caitlins death, some sort of comfort in writing my feelings into poems that don't have to make sense as such, you just have to have the patience to really look into them.
I'm so sorry that Caitlin is gone.
26/10/1997 - 26/10/2013.

Your head rested upon my thigh
My emotions run high
I watch you slowly drifting off into a better place
Somewhere beautiful, somewhere safe.
If I could go to the mystical haven with you in this instant
I would.
I would love nothing more than to drift away.

Love is staying awake just

To see you be still and peaceful.

Love is the sound of your

Melody making my eyes cry.

Love is the raw and beautiful

Feeling I feel when I look

Into your lovely eyes.

Love is you and me.

Love is you and me.

A wave of exuberant love
Wraps so tightly around my fable heart,
When I see your eyes, your lips, you.
My disorganized mind throws itself into yours with no second thought.
You make me feel uncomfortable and unsure
But it makes a change from craving every inch of you near me.
Now, without you, I'm left here,
Lifeless.
Unsatisfied.

Until we meet again, I'm sure my body will be petrified.
