Death
Mikael May 2013
Death is such a terrible thing
But yet it's such a simple procedure.

The uprooting of an existence and
The relevant memory is such a
painful task
That sometimes drives us insane.
But, death is as simple as the halting of
A heart beat.

The pain and loss felt by the ones remaining
Causes incurable emptiness and dread of living,
But it is a simple as leaving through the door
And never coming back.
Or simply, not being in the same room.

Maybe if we could think of death in this way,
This oddly heartless yet logical way,
Maybe if we could think of death and saying goodbye
Like how we bid our moving friend farewell,
We would be better off.

When they are satiated
Mikael May 2013
She feeds them with tearing,
Torn skin and oozing blood.
Every second of pain
In exchange for an ounce of relief,
Peace, tranquility.

When they were satiated,
They no longer dog her.
Or hound her.
Or pry open her wound and
Fiddled her mind
With their fingers.

When they were satisfied,
They no longer sap her spirits
Or her energy
Or her soul.

When they were satiated,
She was happy.

Maybe this is how they all feel
Waiting for someone to come
Rescue them
Waiting for someone
Anyone to talk to them
While thy wait
They hold on by the pain
Inflicted to their bones

Maybe this is how they feel
So desolate
So alone
So utterly helpless

Maybe this is how they all feel
Every night
On their beds
In the dark
Wishing someone would
Just ring them up
Salvage the pieces they
Tried to hold on

Maybe this is how they all feel
As they start their nightly
Ritual of the Red

This is how they all feel
Alone
Scared
Afraid
Broken
Crushed
Alone

Because this is how I feel

Unrequited Love
Mikael May 2013
I wish somehow I've said my piece
And then maybe my heart will
Be at ease,
For I still kinda
Kinda like you,
You're still the most beautiful.
