Summer solstice fires bright
Burning, burning in the night

Dance and twirl in velvet night
Fire dances with delight

Gods descend, a glorious sight
Holding on to humans plight

All bold emotions to excite
Dance for the Gods of Summer
tonight!

your eyes closed
rhythmic and deep your breath
today ... still a dream

sleep evades
eyes open to the light
body... carries on
.
lines upon your hands
fingers grasp at the unseen
what is it you seek?

pen scratches paper
lines appear from emptiness
birth of a poem.
