Seasons
Michaela Langley Jun 2014
Pin ****** of rain drips slip down from roof peaks
While green frogs croak out a spring melody
Young grass breaks soaked soil patches
And beetles leap the blades

Sun rays streak through cloud puffs
As drifting purple butterflies float through light winds
Bare feet test grassy terrain
And bumble bees buzz by bushes

Strawberry jam skies serve as a backdrop for the crisp autumn air
When orange leaves drop like pieces of evening sky
Scuttling squirrels dash to gather acorns
And spice fills houses

A cozy white blanket rests on the ground
While fire red cardinals trot atop trees
Boot covered feet crunch the iced over grass
And brilliant evergreens stand tall
