Poetry in Motion
Michael Kingsley May 2012
I want to look away
but they are too intense.

It's like she looks through me
and sees who I am.

I never let people see me.

But her, The Woman,
I let it happen.

I want her to see me, to know me;
to call me out on mt *******

It happens.

I just wish it had happened like I wanted it to...

I
Michael Kingsley May 2012
I
We are at the end.
Through this end we will find ourselves.
This world is truly what we make it and once the end comes,
we can mold this earth to our whims and desires.
Will we continue with minds of metal and machines
or will we finally realize peace and harmony,
not just with ourselves but all life?
For there is more than we know or care about here
and the magic and all that is green and good in this world will pass into shadow and flame.
Just remember that I,
and I alone,
will always love you.
You may not know me, but I know you.
And I will always love you,
more than you will ever know.

Yet Another Night
Michael Kingsley May 2012
Once again I'm staring at the wall
the only piece of you I have left.

It hurts to remember you
but it's something I have to do.

The pain feeds my darker impulses
and lets me know who I am.

I wish it wasn't like this
but wishing counts for not.

The only thing I can do
is use this pain to move on.

Through whiskey soaked nights
and wistful days

I remember
who we were
who we are
and who I wished we were.
