In the still and quiet world, she opens
her eyes again.

She fears growing older. Even more to do.
Life gets even tougher with age
it seems.

She opens the window to see
leaves are changing, along with her.
They softly whisper, “fear not; change is what
you need.”
They gently mutter, “be not afraid;
you’ll make it through.”

The early sun on water. The brisk morning air
in her lungs.
The way that she knows it’ll be alright
somehow.

So she reaches out, seizes the day.
She realizes there’s nothing
to fear. The world’s waiting
for her and a new day is here.

Lately the world has broken me down
consumed by its lies, making me feel all alone.
And the enemy is trying to destroy me,
having me believe I’m not enough.
He will tie me up, break me down, leave me
lying all by myself.

Have I forgotten who is always there?
Christ is the cure, the healing I need
my hero, a shelter from the storm of life.
He will lift me up, set me free, and never leave
me, never forget me.
He will turn my pain into something beautiful,
make me new. My faith will be found
in Him.

So when the enemy comes to steal me away, Jesus will come
and save the day.
For He has brought salvation to me, and He has changed
my heart, holds me together
when everything falls apart.

Christ is always there, He will lift me up, set me free, and never leave
me, never forget me.

In Jesus, I now know who I am.
I am forgiven, I am loved, I am worthy,
more than enough.
Because of Him, I never am, never was, alone.
To Him, I am beautiful,
and worth more than silver, even gold.
