So many eyes,
Binding vision and memory into one.
Laser guns,
Breaking only through the surface of the flesh that surrounds you.

I swear if you could be seen somewhere besides the light,
I'd see so much more than what the light reveals.
To me, every inch is a story,
Shiny smiles try to steal.

Follow the rabbit,
He knows the way,
Climb down, fall down, whichever you may.

Hurry,
Catch up,
Don't fall behind.
His watch is ticking,
What next will we find?

Stardust in my pocket,
To remember you by.

Sipping' tea,
Pinky up,
Fall into the magic cup.

But months go by,
I finally return,
My world's turned to stone,
And my memories have burned.

Mae.B
I fell in love again today,
Or could it be I remembered?

I don't mind where we are,
I don't mind where we are.

Indestructable?
But, no.
I'm broken shards of glass.
Pick me up and put me on a shelf to be admired by your friends.

Soon, I'll walk backwards.
Find my younger self,
Side pony-tail, jet-black nails, too much mascara,
I'll tell her, "Hey girl, he's here to stay."

Just let me find myself first,
Let me find myself.

If you're wondering why I wake up every morning with a twinkle in my eye,
It's the sun knocking at my window.

If you're wondering why I walk fluidly, like I know where I'm going,
I don't know, but it's the air that carries me.

If you're wondering why I look as if I'm confused or not reallly there,
It's those dreams in the daytime, as if I'm in a different world.

And if you're wondering why I smile at you like I do,
It's probably because I love you.

Mae.B
If you're wondering about the Sun,
He shines just for you.

If you're wondering about God,
He wonders about you too.

If you're wondering about the earth,
She turns with you in mind.

If you're wondering about the wind,
She's awfully hard to find.

If you're wondering about the ocean,
It's the prettiest shades of blue.

And if you're wondering why I wrote this,
I wrote it just for you.

Once there was a tall, oak tree.
I swear it was taller than me.
I climbed it up and stretched my limbs.
And it stretched its to copy me.

After a while of watching the breeze,
I sneezed such awful sneeze.
Without a moment to consult with the tree,
My sneeze turned into a breeze and away went me.

I landed in a shiny city,
But knew I couldn't stay.
I walked back to the tall, oak tree,
And climbed it so I could fly away.

I think I'd like to sing a song,
But the tune would just come out all wrong.
I think I'd like to grow a tree,
But soon it'd be bigger than me.
I think I'd like to think a thought,
But teachers teach for thoughts to be taught.
I think I'd like to start a fire,
But it'd just get higher and higher.
I think I'd like to write a poem,
Of all I'd like to do.
But then it'd be stuck, in ink you see.
And there'd be no way to set them free.
