The engine roars
like my heart did when I first met Marie that October though
I couldn't hear it then.

The people around me are in a different world.
I stare out from my window seat
as the others stare in.

Their lives are rushed, but
I have all the time I need.
They are unfeeling.
I have felt the world.

Drizzling
and
the window feels cool against my wrinkled cheek.
The scenery outside is blurred.
Just like the scenes
from my past.

Lighting flashes.
Nobody flinches but me.
They're too preoccupied
with their activities...

I am old
and they are young;
do they appreciate what they have?

Times are truly changing.

The bus skids to a halt.
I get up on my creaky joints and pad slowly out.

Clutching my roses,
I walk through the white gates and into the grounds
Where my Marie's body lies.

I type 'Life'.
My greatest invention yet. They are born and
they die according to this curve I drew up using my favorite software.
They'll see soft lights. They'll fight. They'll go.
Where?
I'm working on it
Still.

I type 'War'.
The adventures of Hiroshima and Nagasaki,
A bunch of sideshows
And there's a massive one scheduled at 8.54.
Stay to watch?

I type 'Love'. They like this a lot.
They react well to it.
Strange how they rise to their feet at the slightest presence of
Love.

I copy and paste
'Love love love love love love love love'

Then I crunch on a moon. Cold, sweet, juiceless.
Hmmmmm.
I type -
'Gobstopper'.
