Passion.
Maritza Zamanis Oct 2010
I want to run with you in the moonlight,
And hold you in the tide,
I want to stare at you forever,
Just to have you by my side.
I want to watch you while you're sleeping,
And listen to you breathe,
I want to kiss you ever so softly,
And make love until we fall asleep.
I want to let you into my soul,
Where you forever more would stay,
I want to laugh with you 'til morning,
And hold your hand all day.
I want to breathe you in so deep,
That your scent would never fade.
And surround you with emotions,
That I know you've always craved.
I want to take you on a journey,
Of a love that never dies,
And wrap you in the sunset,
And go soaring through the skies.
I want to keep you as mine forever,
Until my days are done,
Then be with you forever,
In the passion of the sun.

The falling star
Maritza Zamanis Jun 2010
I saw a star slide down the sky
Blinding the north as it went by
Too burning and too quick to hold
Too lovely to be bought or sold
Good only to make wishes on
And then forever to be gone.

Fairytales
Maritza Zamanis Jun 2010
I really did believe back then that fairy's took my teeth
I'd carefully lift my pillow and slip them underneath.

I really did believe back then that sleighs and deers could fly
And once a year on Christmas eve old Santa crossed the sky.

And then my favourite fairytale began one August night
A true life Prince or so you seemed came after his Snow White.

My life was in a state of shock
But with your kiss I woke
I soon believed your words of love and every word you spoke.

But cheating minds can lurk beneath a pair of loving eyes.
If only I had learnt back then
That fairytales were lies.

Romeo and Juliet
Maritza Zamanis Jun 2010
A leaf falls and hits the ground with a silent thud.
A young boy waits with his undying love, for the girl that he only knows by name,
Now he is caught in the lovers game.

His eyes are blind because now love is all he sees,
He gently waites outside her gates with the swaying trees.
He waits for minutes, hours, days,
Now his eyes have turned into a hazy glaze.
He has become weak, not in the body but in the mind,
It is getting hard to see, he is becoming blind.
She has not come, she hasn't come to the gate,
But there's nothing that the boy can do except to wait.

The trees become naked, the leaves cover the ground,
The boy lifts his head, for he hears a sound.
He runs to the gate and sees only what his eyes let him see,
For his one and only is waiting with all her beauty,
She runs to his arms, her love is for real,
He caress's her arms and a tear he can feel.

They run and play and talk all day long,
They talk about love and that their feelings are strong.
The day turns to night and twilight arrives,
He asks her when he can see her next and she starts to cry.
She says that now they'll have to depart,
Now there's a stone where he once had a heart.

She tells him that her father will not let them marry,
She tells him that she can't but the guilt she can not carry.
She cries and cries until he calms her down,
She falls to the floor and together they lie on the gorund,
They sleep until it is time for her to go.
She asks him his name but he tells her she can never know.

She leaves him lying there and she walks to the gate,
He tries to stop her but he is too late,
She pulls a knife and stabs her chest.
Tears fall from his eyes as blood covers her breast.
He runs over to her and does the same,
This is the end of the lovers game.
Now they'll wait for someone to find,
Love conquers all because it is blind.
