Gone
Marisa Charlotte Oct 2012
I hear your voice pound through my head
Even though you're barely dead
Here and gone like summer heat
Your voice still rocks me fast asleep
Take my dreams to a safer place
Where I can touch your lovely face
Where I can embrace you one moment more
I still remember when you walked out the door
If I'd had known that was the last
I would have never let you pass
But now you're gone and I'm alone
Still waiting for you call,
My eyes haven't left the phone

Brown Eyes
Marisa Charlotte Apr 2013
I seem to fall in love
With guys who have brown eyes
For i can see the truth
That will lead to my demise
With lips so soft, hands so warm
I've fallen for their lies
I won't be that little girl
Who breaks down and cries
I will overcome their lust
And they will see me rise
I will break the unbreakable fragility
They hide behind their brown eyes

Fragile
Marisa Charlotte Mar 2013
I'm just one more thing
Hanging over your head
But I'm the one falling
From a tiny thread
Liar liar liar
Give it a rest
Someday you'll see
That I am best
You say you're broken
But I'm the one hurting
You whisper the words
That are so reassuring
I've given you all of me
There's nothing left to show
You win I surrender
And I'm afraid I must go
This battle was fought
Long hard and strong
But you're right, I'm defeated
Which one of us was wrong?

Perfection and Deception
Marisa Charlotte Feb 2013
I thought I found a love so sweet

It came and gone like summer heat

Perfection and deception were one in the same

But I loved the way he said my name

He always knew exactly what to say

To make everything bad go away

I've never felt feelings so real, so strong

His voice became my favorite song

We loved, we laughed all day and night

Never once got into a fight

Happiness has never been so real

I loved the way he made me feel

I see more clearly now, i was a fool

He turned out to be one big tool

He packed and left like it was nothing

But i held on to this love of something

I begged and begged that he would stay

He just wanted to get away

My heart now broken, shut down

Please, won't he come back around?

He was chasing an american dream

As a sailor amongst the ocean's gleam

I swore i'd never love again

But now i see this isn't the end

Maybe someday we'll meet again

But i'll move on until then

I've loved and lost, but learned a lot

More about who i am and who i am not

Things will never be the same

But there really is no sense in blame

The outcome was probably for the best

Love was merely just a test
i had to write this for my english class
YES i realize it's similar to my other poem
YES i realize it not the best

Fille de Lune
Marisa Charlotte May 2013
She hides locked away
In the tranquil space of her own
A place where she can play
In her mind and all alone

She comes alive at night
To dance under the moon
Her reality is slight
She escapes into a tune

She lives graciously with peace
In love with nature's affection
Her dance is her release
Her drug and her injection

She'll tempt you with her smile
Lure you with her velocity
You'll want to stay awhile
But solitude is her philosophy

You don't see what you're doing to me
Never again will I be
Visibly vulnerable
To anyone or anything
These walls are never coming down
It's all a game
One no one ever wins
Except I always rise to the top
The scars mask the internal struggle
The war inside my head
One you will never see
You don't know me
And you never will
You can't see me
And you never will
You can't hear me
And you never will
You can love me
But I never will
This was just an expression of my emotions at the moment
