nurse's prarthana
marian gascon Jan 2011
To hear all-out would be ear-splitting
So like a tusk piercing through my heart
Like a wind rustling fleetingly
Through the valley I muttered
Hankering the need to be there would soon be over

As the dab hand struggled
For low-keyed lines to what's uncovered
My eyes swelled up
Held back the silvery icicles
Before they fall down the cheeks like rain in the summer

My hurdles, snags, & pitfalls seemed tiny dots
Next to his giant sheepshank slubs
Yet did not bear me spur
I won't ever feel any better

What else would matter
When one's existence becomes faint spurts of tiny embers
When one's crystal anchor too soon turns to blur

Whether or not heard in a corner I said a pray'r
For courage & strength as I live out my toil
For heavens to keep the fire
In this brightly shining star's light.

LAST DANCE
marian gascon Jan 2011
I opened my heart & let you in
My brain outcries
It doesn't make sense
But this bond we have
Feels so right & intense
Defies all reasons & boundaries
A love so pure & lasting 'till the end

It is quite sad to realize
Right from the beginning
What we have after all's but a dream
Hence my fervent wish in our raptured slumber
For time to freeze & tender moments standstill
Reaching out & holding on to each other
As our hearts throb in one same beat

My silent prayer you stay with me
For the longest time you can
Until the lights our out
And our dream is over
And the music plays to our first dance forever

An Enamoured Day
marian gascon Jan 2011
It was ancient ago we were fond & foe
Once little rascals together we grew
Far apart 'till bounds forebear
Each world soared & flapped
An impending monstrous frosty gap

One fine love-is-in-the-air day in a twist of fate
As this nymph unaimed by cupid's arrow
When all my friends & beau in fun they wallow
Your sudden hailed revere embraced in haste
Then in my own prinky whimsy plot
Both unexpectedly got trapped

In such long winding tracks we hustled
Through the hurdled altar together sprinted
Both oblivious as pledge of affection consecrated
While ocean's torrent & tide waded
A solemn for-us-then-quixotic promise to keep sacred.

At some point the on-off blissful lock flutters
As life isn't all sunshines & buttercups we struggle
Yet notwithstanding the trials & tribulations
Such troth acknowledge without question
And now has the moon stone or opal
As our anniversary gemstone

Will our gemstone lose its lustre
Or will it continue to shine like a flash of lightning from heaven
Are we fiercely resolute to bid for the silver
Or stay solid firm to wish for the golden
And vow to persevere for the truly eternal diamond.

One thing we know for sure...LOVE CONQUERS ALL!

baffled

I'm downright parchy when you're icy
Slammin' wet when you're dulcet
So glum...lolled...you're nowhere onboard
Alacrity is farced as simpers scarce
Prolix spells ahead as your radiance effaced
Stunning silence!
Shan't be scraggy better be scoutty
Lame ruse meeds its match...
