Blue Eyes
Mardonét Sep 2015
They hold so many secrets and have seen so much pain.
They have stared into the eyes of lovers and have felt the hurt of being betrayed.
They have gone through sleepless nights filled with so many tears,
And they have had the pleasantest dreams,  oblivious of what is real.

"Oh,  Blue Eyes,  why all the confusion?
Why all the pain?
Why are you struggling to let go
Of the one that got away?"

She is strong and yet she's vulnerable,
She's a little bit of everything.
She is whole and she is broken,
She's a little bit complicated.

She's just a girl trapped inside her own mind,
Caught between who broke her and whom she is breaking.
She's just a girl trapped inside her own heart,
Incapable of not feeling...

"Oh,  Blue Eyes,  why all the confusion?
Why all the pain?
Stop holding on,  it will soon go away.. "

Addiction
Mardonét Nov 2014
There was once this girl
Who met a guy
Who shook her world
From left to right

Little did she know of the impact
Of the drug she allowed into her life

She started to use,
Never wanting to stop.
The addiction got so bad
That soon- he became the only thing she knew.

The touch of his fingers on her body,
His breath on her skin,
It awoken feelings inside she didn't quite understood.
But she kept on using,
Because it felt oh, so good.

Then one day that drug ran out
And she went bezerk.
She became so lost,
That she didn't recognize herself.

Oh, how she craved him.
Oh, how she longed.
Never in her life
Had she cried that much.

She tried to recover on her own-
Refused to go to rehab,
Because maybe he'll come back,
At least then she could use again.

Months went by
And still she cried.
Tired of being broken and lost
"Could someone please help me, could someone just..."

It got so bad that when she looked at herself
She'd drown in those two deep oceans of blue.
Only then did she realize that she was never the one using,
But the one being used..

I'll drink to that
Mardonét Oct 2014
Here's to the guy who made me fall in love with a lie.
Who painted me pictures of our future together with his words.
With whom I've spent hours with over the phone- our little fantasy bubble- in the comfort of our own homes.
Who then after months of empty promises, still never showed.

Here's to the **** who couldn't understand the word "no".
The guy who infested a little girl's world
And in the blink of an eye, changed everything she knew.
Who made her grow up, faster than she ever wanted to.

Here's to the guy who gave me my first kiss.
Who briefly showed me what love is.
The guy who was my Romeo, and I, his Juliet
The guy who broke my heart by falling in love with my best friend.

Here's to the ******* ******* who said he loved me just so he can have one thing.
The guy who I gave everything to because I thought that everything he said was true.
The guy who will forever be part of my life because of one stupid ******* night.

Here's to me who went through every one of these ******* and is still able to breathe.
Who've spent hours crying and over thinking things that can't be undone.
Who still blames herself, more than anyone, for everything that has been done.
Who seeks forgiveness and redemption, because it hurts too **** much to handle everything on my own.

Here's to the lucky guy who will get to have me, because he will have someone loyal, someone caring, someone who'll love him with her entire being.
Who will know everything there is to know about me, but will still love me for me.
Who will kiss away my tears and fill my heart with his laughter.
Who will show me that there is such a thing as happily ever after.
Who will have me strive to be the best possible woman ever.

Cheers.

Eyes of Blue
Mardonét Oct 2014
There's a sadness in her eyes of blue
The kind that makes a heart break in two,
Pieces of heart all over the floor
She's been here too many times before.
While he is off with someone new
She still cries and writes a song or two.
She's a lonely girl with lots of friends,
Some are real and some just pretend
That they care no matter what she does.
But she's a little closed down on love
Because it always gets the best of her
Leaving her and leaving it all a blur.
She will keep the doors closed for now
Until someone comes along and breaks it down..

Love kills slowly
Mardonét Oct 2014
When you spend your time waiting for someone, you find out that disappointment is the only thing you get.
You live your life for them and in the end you only end up living in regret.

Love has this way of giving you hope and making things better
but in the end it just leaves you a ****** day with stormy weather-

You'd go out of your way to make them feel special, to make them
feel loved but in the end you find out you were never good enough.

I don't know how to put this, I don't what to say, but sometimes when love's in sight, it's best to run away.
No more tears and no more pain, only memories that still remain.

But I'll forget them too, 'cause the only thing I ever did was to die
because of you...
Mardonét Oct 2014
Her mind wanders, searching for you
Her memories vague, but sadly- true
Her heart closed, but still carrying you
Her eyes empty, but still full of blue

Inside her head, a beautiful story
About a girl waiting for a hero
To pick her and tell her she's beautiful
And take her away-
The beginning of a fairy tale...

And a hero did come
Not a shining knight, no-
Instead a boy broken up inside
Longing for something that is right

Winning her over with his words
Capturing her heart slowly
Neither one of them planning on falling,
But life had something else in mind-
It was cunning

And oh she fell, and him too
And they were happy together,
Laughing, dreaming, wishing,
Just being in love -
...fools

But life got jealous and turned cruel
And he did everything in his power
To put an end to those two

And they fought and they struggled
Not knowing what to do
Both of them hurt and puzzled
Oh but they knew...

And so life managed to turn
A beautiful dream into a nightmare
Leaving broken hearts full of scars
And on their faces,
A tear
