My home
Mae West Oct 2013
Surrounded by an indefinitely green universe.
Consumed by what comes next.
A quick visit to the beach.
Or a tiny dip in the pond.
Rolling though the valleys.
Admiring the multicolored leaves.
Turkey's, geese, swans, alligators, squirrels.
Swearing like a sailor.
Or praising God for all His gifts.
This is the place I call home.
This is the game of golf.

False hopes
Mae West Oct 2013
I really don't know why
I kept on saying hi
When I saw you walking my way
I wanted to turn and run away
You were never great at being friendly
Man, why must I keep pretending
All I ever wanted was a friend
But now I'm lost in a sea of ends
We could have had it all
And maybe even had a ball

— The End —
