Drowning

This feeling overtakes and overwhelms my entire being.
The darkness swallows me whole
My eyes begin to blur and the room swirls around me
And my ears adjust to the hissing of my radiator and the roar of the traffic passing by.

When suddenly you're left with tired, throbbing, stinging eyes that hold back a years worth of tears.

And you take the medicine when you don't have a cough because even if for the night, it takes your pain away.
