Two years of laughter and smiles
Two years of being worth the while
Of course for David it could feel like its been two years
Worth of Lucy's tears
You are my greatest friend
My love from the beginning right to the end
Battles fiercer than those of helms deep
But love that forever is ours to keep
And although when I'm angry I may look (and act) like an Orc
I do still love you more than a lot
In truth I'm more of a hobbit
Loving and loyal
(Not so much small)
Entirely devoted
To my David and my David alone
For you are my precious
My love, my only one.
No one can have you (not even Sauron!)
I'd like to see him and his ring wraiths
Face me and my one woman fury
Two years today we started a journey
And still today we are forever learning
That you hate mushrooms and sugared tea
90210, gossip girl, and feet!
But I love you and you love me
And may this journeys end never be
For I love you more now than two years before
And I know for sure that, this love will grow
14/6/11 until the end of time
I love you baby that's just how it is
There and back again
A love tale
By David and Lucy
So do me favour and keep on laughing
Otherwise you've wasted 720 days of minecrafting!

She'll follow the notes he leaves behind
Treading carefully in their wake
fearing standing too hard may make the trail break
She murmurs softly a gentle whispered love song
In the hope one day he too will sing along

Tears blur the future she cannot see
Silence mocks the words she cannot speak
Loneliness echoes the song she longs to hear
To comfort her and remind her that he is near

She'll always be waiting for the train that never comes
Waiting on the empty platform for him to return home
The ******* the platform cried
For since his voice had left she had not smiled.

Is love enough?
Lucy Pullen Jul 2013
Destruction is as quiet as the drop of an autumn leaf
the quiet crumbling of memories turning to ash
the perpetrator of love, the thief
a quick, a silent crash.

the pictures fading from the wall
crumbling, curling, fading to white
the black and white memories now mean nothing at all
the stars that never existed in this never ending night

The final question of all humanity is answered
love is never enough
it is the hazard, the thief, the moonlighter
the true poison viper

Battle Ground
Lucy Pullen Jun 2013
Its begins with the rights of the presumed good
And the wrongs of perceived sin
Clashing together over could and should
Words of pain, stabbed in order to win

Shouting and words, as sharp as a knife
Cutting through the memories we have
Sniping and hurting until there’s no life
Scared one day there will be nothing to save

The sun rises, bathing the life of light
Over the fading battle ground
Of the unmoving mouths, nothing more said
Over the slain strewn bodies of those now dead.

Let’s stop it now, before the battle has begun
Let the love prevail while we are young
Hold each other in the fear of the world
Not in the view of fear of the other.

The Butterfly
Lucy Pullen Jun 2013
You were here yesterday
Today you are gone
Tomorrow i cannot face
I cannot go on

Like the butterfly
You flew away
Leaving life behind you
Leaving me that day

You gave me a promise
When you landed on my palm
That wherever you may be
You’ll always look out for me

With that promise made
You fluttered away
Always remembered
In memory, in love
In laughter, in soul

You were here yesterday
Today you are gone
Tomorrow i shall face
I will make you proud to go on
This was for my Grandpa, who died suddenly on the 3rd of March 2012. On the day of his death I was walking and a butterfly fluttered straight toward me and landed on my palm , fluttered its wings for a few minutes and then flew off.
