To Only Love Her
lostinsecure Mar 2014
I'm scared of the dark because
I lost my flashlight

I'm scared of looking through the dead faces
To only see yours alive

I'm scared to turn on the radio
To only hear lyrics that remind me of you

I'm scared to talk to you because
It'll only make me want you.

I'm scared that you're going to forget about me
To only fully remember her

I'm scared that you don't care about me but
To only love her

Her eyes
lostinsecure Mar 2014
As I sit next to a girl with hopeful eyes  she wonders about the world.

As I laugh next to a girl with honesty in her words with a little wit inside her speech.

As I sit next to a girl with excitful eyes explaining what she wants in the future.

As I sit next to a girl with dreams as big as mountains I begin to wonder about mine too.

As I listen next to a girl with a wide smile thinking about a boy she once knew.

I knew that boy.
He knew me too.
Oh boy, how I miss him.

I remember I sat next to the boy with bright eyes and a gentle smile as he explained his future, but his smile would fade towards the end.
I never knew why.

I remember I sat next to the boy with dark hair and dimples pondering why he looked so sad when his eyes were so bright and his smile so gentle.

But, before I could ask he was gone.

Me.

Me.
I'm useless and unimportant
I'm broken and scared
I'm tired and sad
I'm hopeless and beaten down
I'm insecure and am trying so hard to just be okay.

They say, “forgive and forget.”
But you never do forget.
Someone please tell me how someone can forget something,
So painful that one just stares into nothing.

How does one smile when they have had their heart ripped out of their body and smashed to the ground.

Please tell me how someone can continue learning and receiving knowledge when they’re mental sanity has been ******* with.

I beg you to tell me how one can go about life and laugh so freely as if nothing is wrong.
Something is wrong. Life looks at you and laughs in your face when you mess up. It knocks you down places a stake through your heart to keep you stranded and helpless.

You don’t move. You don’t breathe. But, you’re not dead. You just stare. You stare into nothingness in hopes to find one thought, one feeling one anything to remove this metal stake.

Is there a secret to become happy again? I sure hope so or I will drown in my own thoughts.
