Defeat is a victory
Tried but unsecured
Savored but destroyed
Clear the way and fight for what you believe
Courage is the best to conquer victory
Many are lost but not in vain
Men and women work together to
Fight for their country
With bullet proof bravery.

I’ll clear my head and count to three…
And hope my words come back to me…
I’d savor the moment,
If only I could…
I would freeze time and
Replay our world…
But reality is far from great
And now I still have nothing to say…
No words of thanks
No spoken words in mind
I’ve lost my last chance to say goodbye
To the only dad there ever was.

Enclosed in a timid space
Reality seeps in through the cracks…
The gates close and all she can see are stars…
Caged like a bird, but free to fly…
Searching for that sparkle of hope
Waiting for that rising sky…
Stars shine bright even in the day time…
T’was the same bright star as herself
The world once lost is now a new one harmoniously recognized.

If the world came crumbling down tonight and every single person disappeared without a trace
Would you fight to stay by my side
Or say, “**** it, Goodbye”?
Can I trust you to keep me safe if you decide to stay by my side?
Can you truly fight the facts and not leave me standing alone here in this crumbling city with no heart to keep me company?
Can I trust you to keep trusting me?
Can I trust you to keep your promise?
How long will this last, I think
How long do you think we’ll last?
What about on this planet?
In reality,
Can we even make it?
Every day the sun comes and goes by
Just like the moon sticks around to replace the sun’s absent light
Every day I get older and get weaker
I need my body to keep up with this new life of ours and this pathetic weather
But I know someday one of us will be left behind
Like we were never even there to begin with
But I say, “**** it, I’m gonna try to make the best out of this and make a living out of the ‘now,’ before it truly hits me in the future.”

Rain softly beating on my window pane
Like a gardener watering her flower pane
She cares
Like a mother protectively cradling her daughter proudly
She loves
Like a dream slowly consuming reality
She relieves
The night that snoozes us to sleep
The light that brightens our every morning
My heart still rhyme’s with mom’s heartbeat
Drumming like a drum beat
And my brain still thinks
For the day that is to be my future
The next day
She gave me a present that will never be forgotten
As I cherish it, it will never perish
Till the day I go to heaven
Mom's love lives within
Me.
