I can still feel your breath in my bedsheets
Rising and falling
Like you never left my side
I can still feel your skin on my hardwood floors
Melted into every crack
Your scent is on all of my clothes
and your taste infused in all of my food
I can still feel you here,
even though you left long ago.

-
Silence between us
Haven't talked in too many days
Nothing is normal
Lindsey Wells Oct 2012
cut
The sting
The slice
The pain
The price
You pay
To be
Perfect
Each day
When it
Gets dark
And scares
Your heart
You know
Its time
To let
Hope go

I'm dreaming
of cigarettes and Polaroid pictures
Late Autumn nights with light through the trees
and a calm breeze
A daydream it is
but I'm begging please
Bring truth to my dreams
Lindsey Wells Oct 2012
Cold to the touch
Nothing pumping through veins
A ghost with feet
Covered in humans clothes
Sunken eyes
Imaginary breath
A soulless existence
Frigidly numb
Holding a shriveled heart
Unable to see real life

She is a dead girl walking

I am a dead girl walking
Lindsey Wells Oct 2012
I tried to talk
Out came no sound
You closed off your ears
I cant be heard
Mute
Its okay
It was pointless anyways
Why would someone dare to listen?

All those pretty girls with their
tears and dreams and fears,
looking for a meaning that is yet to exist.
The dead glare in their eyes,
so clear and wide,
emotionally vacant inside
shows the pain they subside.
And in that moment you can tell when one is completely broken.

I dont mean a little bit of issues
I mean
the way they talk
the way they walk
the way they live
is ultimately shattered through this utter dispair in which consumes them.
