Your embarrassed?
Good you should be
After what you did to the other girls and me

You scared us
Lied to us
Manipulated us
Threatened us
And even said you loved us
And now guess what?
Were now the schools only focus

It feels like we're all Alone--
Locked up in a dark empty room
It feels like we are doomed

There’s nothing we can do
I know that we did it too
But we were too scared of you to say no to you

But you could honestly care less what we're going through
It's hard enough walking these halls let alone seeing you

This is to the boy i went out of my way to get noticed by,
The one who told me all those lies
Yea that boy that made me feel like the only one
The one who said I was the most beautiful girl under the sun

Now he’s the boy who looks at me like i'm the ugliest thing on earth
And says that he wished my mom never gave birth
He’s that kinda boy that could do anything wrong and his friends wouldn't care
They all just call you names and give you an evil stare

When I was little my momma would always say that thing about
“Sticks and stones”
Looking back on that I realize how much its a lie
And Now i'm barely getting by

It feels like everyday i'm walking into school bind
Not knowing  what's gonna happen wishing people would keep there opinions in there own mind

They never once asked us if we were okay or if we would care if he got to walk back in here
We never got to express our feelings because they didn't wanna hear

I'm sorry but I'm not just going to just sit here and watch anymore
I'm scared everyday when i walk through the school door
It’s not fair why should we have to sit through every class in fear
While he has no worries and his mind is clear

You didn't ask us how we felt
So now I am here to tell you
It feels like all the cards have been dealt
Like you seriously have no clue

It gets better as time goes on but still
I sit here wondering will this ever go away?
I wish my mom would wake me up and tell me it was all a bad dream
And this is not how it seems

But next time you hurt someone it might be too late to fix
Because we aren't just a bunch of chicks
Believe it or not we are so much more
We are beautiful and strong
And you treat us so wrong

Did you know, you’re there biggest fear?
Because of the words they hear
They keep telling themselves “Words can never hurt me”
But see it never helps why can't you just let them be?

Every day you torture them
It takes so long for their broken hearts to mend back together again
All they ask for is one true friend
Sometimes they just want their lives to end

Honestly when is enough enough?
There tired of being strong and sick of being tough
It's not just hitting and punching, it's the words you say,
they hurt so much, they just want to fade away

They put a fake smile on and pretend they're okay
They try to believe that they can make it all the way.
Your words will always offend them
Just when they have been pieced back together again.

You see all they ever needed was a friend
That would make their hearts mend
And that would be there with them till the end

What if they wrote a note to say goodbye?
And their family and friends were left wondering..why?
What if at night, they cry themselves to sleep?
By morning, it's too hard to get up on their feet

They are afraid to come to school because of bullies like you
When they try to tell an adult, their plea’s  are just overruled
Soon they can't take it anymore
They think, "What do I have to live for?"

Finally all of their secrets start to spill
They grab the bottle and overdose on pills
All they ever wanted was a friend
And to hear the words, "I'm sorry, I won't do it again"

Haven't you seen what you put them through?
You think they're weak, but they're stronger than you
All they want to do is forget
They think, "how much worse can it get?"

What if it was you who got hurt everyday?
Tell me how many words you would have left to say……

We have been told all our lives
It's what's on the inside that matters
Until one day when beauty becomes everything
When you're told you're not pretty enough to do something
When you're told you're not beautiful enough to love someone
Being beautiful becomes part of your life
Putting makeup on so maybe they will love you
Wearing clothes that make you uncomfortable just so you will fit in

Then there's Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram
Where people hide to get away from their pain
Adding filters to their pictures
Photoshopping their face so they look acceptable
You feel good behind that screen
You feel safe behind that screen
You feel comfortable behind that screen
But you know it’s not really you behind that screen
It’s a distant picture of you, a distant picture of who you really are,
But you Dance in a puddle of comments on how beautiful you are
Drawing in hundreds of likes
You feel pretty now maybe even beautiful

Until you have to turn back to reality
When no one at school calls you pretty
No one compliments how you look
Going back and forth thinking you're pretty and then you're not

The reality that you can’t hide behind that screen forever
That at some point you do have to face the fact that you can’t be something you're not
The reality that you can’t pretend forever even though it’s easier than looking in the mirror and loving yourself for being you

Then you meet that one person who changes everything
They're not popular, nor do they fit in
But they show you that there is much more than being pretty or beautiful
You finally take a deep breath and let your hair down
It's time to realize that looks don't matter
They didn't lie it is what's  on the inside that counts
