Vagabond
Milliedawson Apr 2020
I've been here
for so long
Though not really here
Marbled face of joy
Yet a soul full of fear
Madness of delusions
Paint my contempt
And faces I cannot,
ever quite connect
Scattered eyes
And a sunken grin
Pale skies
Caving, in
Feeling apart from almost everything
Transient,
Vacant
I'm scattered
a-thin

Rose
Milliedawson Apr 2020
I did not welcome you that night,
There was no room for you that night
That cold cruel winters night
There was no room for you that night

You preserved and came back again
Paranoid, I let you in
You enchanted me non- the less
I could not forget how pale and thin

I protected you night she day
Your blossom bloomed in every way
You mesmerised Everyone you knew
I could not forget the change in you.

Now that fate swept me away
My beautiful rose withers every day
I sit here, lost, broken, torn
I see No beauty - Just the Thorns.

Green Skies
Milliedawson Apr 2020
Can’t break out of my cloak of. Lies,
Can’t breathe, only choke, Green skies
In the water, to drown, seems a lullaby
Can’t seem to see anything anymore, Only green skies.

I Love You
Milliedawson Apr 2020
I love you,
I love you
I love you, it’s true
Shield me from harm,
& ****** my truth

I love you
I love you
So cut out my eyes
Bask me in charm,
with your sweet little lies

I love you, I love you
So Rip out my tongue
Tell me that you love me,
And make me belong.

Love’s vivisection
Milliedawson Apr 2020
Your father used to call you “mouse”
When you were wild within his house
Just a mouse, before we kissed
Before our vivisectionist

Used our eyes to test
What tears would make them redden best
Before love made you strip for me
Inside it’s dark laboratory

Stopped me to your hidden shae
And made you re-appear
A super-mouse, wearing the cape
Of a human’s unlistening ear

Wayfaring stranger
Milliedawson Apr 2020
Wearing nothing but charisma’s gown, I pledge how nothing can stop me now. The hopeless flutter of delusions’ eyes, Wayfaring the stranger, withholding the prize.
