I can still feel them
your lips
Pushed up against mine
Searching for something more

Maybe it was the words that never left my tongue
Or maybe the ones that did

Your lips are still pushing
A constant search for questions
In a sea of answers

It's over now

Either way you never found what you were looking for
And neither did I

I watched the sunrise by myself
I thought of you
And how beautiful you are
Almost like the colors forming in the sky

I stayed there watching
Until it hurt
Too much of something good
Too much of something bad

I returned to watch the sunset
I thought of you
And how beautiful you are
Even when you left

You're a lot like the sun
Come and go as you please
You disappear for a while
But always come back

You never came back

Your knuckles are ****** from the words spewing out
My face is bruised from the sentences they formed

Knives in my back after your fingers traced my spine
Poison in my mouth after our lips touched

I'm slowly dying from the wounds
While you get away with scratches

I'm better off dead
And you're better off alive
