Sun has vanished

moon peers over the plains

gently she whispers

“where have you gone?”

“Radiating light

to other parts of the world”

He booms

None too quietly

She smiles in her dark solitude

Knowing all is well

He is content

In his world

Even when he is gone

he inspires

She glows with pride

Held in a vise
Cruelly forsaken
Life has been hard
No sense in taking
Anything offered
It can’t be real
Life is too hard
No one could feel
Anything for the captive
Bound in his heart
Hard lines and words
When can he start
Seeing another world
waiting to heal
maybe a lover
wanting to peel
Away at the crust
surrounding his heart
opened by light
make a new start

I woke up one morning

I’d dreamt of you

What I saw in my dream

I wouldn’t go through

Your arms wide open

eyes so blue

I was caught up

you -enjoying the view

I looked down

couldn’t believe

The space between us

a vast ravine

You smiled

look that I know

Why- The space?

had always been so

In the dream I remembered

The sadness ~ The space

never  together

no time- no place
