Leah Wilson Jan 2014
She's much too big to be so confident,
Too tall to behave so small
Too brown to be so white-
Isn't that right?
I'm a *****,
Too stiff to open my legs
Like a cadaver being examined by a crowd-
Yet I am a ****
And a harlot,
Unafraid to assume the missionary
But I won't step foot in the church.
What did you want to hear?
Shall I paint a face of subtlety and grace
So that you may sit on your high seat, looking down on me?
I won't have it.
I will accept that I am a beautiful brown body,
And even more-
I will be forever.
This is the first poem I've put up. I hope you all enjoy it =]
