Dear Peter
Lauren Mild Nov 2011
The stars are out tonight and I have left my window open.
Can you come take me away?
I’ll wear that blue dress and we can fly through forever.
Sit on the clock, that keeps on ticking.
Laugh in its face.
We can lounge on the clouds
and board ships we have never seen.
We won’t ever have to worry
I don’t have to grow up,
or ever be alone.
I’m good company.
Swear.

Because frankly Peter,
that clock’s hands are moving a little faster than I would like.

And I have never been flying.

Remind me
Lauren Mild Nov 2011
Oh how that sky
gets me every time.
It dwells in the indescribable.

I hate to say it but when the going gets tough
I hate god.
Doubt him.

But oh that sky.
Is very convincing.

there was one Kiss
Lauren Mild Dec 2011
It was burning and freezing all at the same time.
His hands on the small of my back, maybe lower.
Our bodies touching, almost pressing.
Just craving more, so it would never end.
All the lonely nights disappeared.
All the tears erased.
Never had my heart broken.
Weightless and full,
Never and forever.

Now only solitary memory remains.
It owns my mind.

Because he is all I have ever felt.
