fight
Laura Chamberlin Jun 2013
I've got to the point
where i no longer
have the urge to fight
after all everyone has
there limits.

counting scars
Laura Chamberlin Jun 2013
As i lay awake,
instead of counting sheep
i count the never ending
mass of scars engraved in my skin,
and i come to realize,
life's not fair
at least for most it isn't
it greets you with a laugh and a smile
and takes you step by step
up the ladder of life
until it pulls the ladder from beneath you
and leaves you hanging to watch everything
crumble around you.

less goodbyes
Laura Chamberlin Jun 2013
maybe if people stopped,
pretending they knew everything
about everyone then maybe there
would be less people with slashes
on there wrist,
and less notes saying I'm sorry goodbye.
