Poetic Lips

The way you speak is poetic
I get lost in your words
I lose track of time
When I watch your lips
form every beautiful Rhyme,
                                as if they were
                                to kiss my skin
                               (a thought I dream of)
                                            the way you move
                                             couldn't be described
                                just being written
every thing about you
might be imperfect
but not to me
my mind will wander
but it will never neglect
the thought of your
*poetic lips on me
Just a draft I wrote.
My first full poem in a while. Im trying to get my spark back

I cannot recall the past six months. Enveloped by a sea of anger, each wave has washed away my memory. Though I am no longer drowning, I did not make it out alive.

I'll sit and watch my own sunset.
And if it ever stops
I know where to find the stars.
The passion colors, the clouds
so far away they might as well be memories.

Remembering is hard to do.
Is forgetting even harder?

My arms are crossed
and my wings are folded around you.

Your wings are black.
You call them curses.

I always laugh when you talk like this.
What else can I do, when you seem so convinced.

What else is a raven, but a gateway to magic.

Will you hear me, from across the world.
Even if by the time the wind reaches you
by following the marks your dreams left
I've danced into another me.
One closer and farther from you.

I realized early on that the world and its inhabitants are virtually an unfeeling entity as a whole.
I now know that heartbreak comes in many disguises.
I know a feeling of utter loneliness contented only by the mere knowledge of its commonality.

I left you there standing in the rain
Pretending I couldn't see your pain
Thinking that I had nothing to lose
Nothing to lose but you

All around me I could see was happiness
Where I felt I needed to be.
White picket fences and a happy family,
It seemed like a dream.
First love, naïve I became,
For it was never reality.
Crushed heart, broken soul,
Bruises and tears as I laid on the floor.
Blind to my present stuck on the past,
I refused to believe that true love never lasts
All emotions gone, just a walking corpse.
Deceit, lies, and drugs, can you hurt me more?
A child I gave you a gift from my womb
A solution to a broken home.
An angel god sent me to fill my life with joy.
She helped me stop you in time,
For it was her life you would eventually destroy.
Awaken I was reborn and brought back to life.
I don’t hate you, I see the pain, a lifeless soul,
My heart goes out to you I hope you heal,
My wounds are closed and now I smile.
As I look into that dark room I thank god for love,
Because now I am stronger than ever and I can sit here and say,
The dream was just that and it was you to blame.
I summed up the strength and chose to walk away
Now you’re alone in this cruel disgusting game.
Now sit there and take it like the man you say you are,
And I will gladly sit here and laugh as you swallow your pride.
