Bounces
Calmly in a blissful
Daze.
Enlightened thoughts
Feathered with blackened
Grace.
Haunting lullabies
Illuminated by crying
Jokers,
Killed by shattered
Laughter and
Melancholy
Nights.
Oppressed by
Parasitic critiques,
Quick to judge the
Ravishing and
Sentient
Topics.
Unsuspecting to all, we
Visit the bleak and cold
World where
X-rays replace the blistering,
Yellow sun, and overshadow the
Zealous moon.

I'll *******,
If you want.
Cause I want it
Just as bad as you do.
But I also want to hear the rustle of the sheets
When you turn over in the middle of the night.
I want to feel your hot breath on my neck.
I want the stubble on your chin to graze my cheek
As you kiss me gently on the forehead.
And when I whisper "goodnight," you don't have to reply.
Just nudge me with your knee
Or poke me with your elbow.

Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield
on occasions a disguise

They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burdens
in a bid to make you whole

But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell

Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared

Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again

It burned.
The room span,
But what room?
I scouted the floor
cat-like.
I could have been anything.

A rainbow.
A kaleidoscope of colours
mashed to create perfection.
It hurt my eyes.
Perfection turned to abandonment
and I discovered loneliness.

A tunnel.
My eyes were closed
yet my vision was clear as day.
Twisting and winding and bending
I became one with nature
until an hour passed

and more was needed.

In the darkness did I wait
Alone without his mirrored face

Years I traveled through the earth
To find the one that I loved first

Flaming hair with matching curls
Deep green eyes with golden swirls

No one knew this soul alive
But I could feel him deep inside

Across the desert I tripped and fell
On the seas I set my sail

To find him was my only goal
The other half to heal my soul

Amidst a mist of  rain and snow
My body ached to go back home

And there he was, my only other
My twin
My love
My mirrored brother
