My Stranger Away
Sailik Sengupta Apr 2017
In strange times, my stranger away
I want to talk (to you) not knowing what to say.

From real stories of shame and abuse,
From hardening bubbles to letting loose.
You were always a patient listener, my stranger away
I want to talk (to you) not a what to say.

I know you have difficulties too.
The idiot child in me that never grew,
Knew not when it hurt you, my stranger away
I want to talk (to you) not knowing what to say.

Is there an escape to some abstract space?
Where we sleep on grass and the stars (at us) gaze?
I know you always have answers, my stranger away
I want to talk (to you) not knowing what to say.

Its better not to dream, when sleep is at stake,
When paths are not known and emotions are fake;

Its better not to love, when the world is void of trust,
When your own leaves you, tears are a must;

But still you got to fight against what is wrong..
For what kills you not makes you strong.

Its better not to hope, when nothing is your own,
When the seeds of hatred are already sown;

Its better not to succeed, when jealousy is there,
It gets you to the top, and removes the stair;

But still you got to fight against what is wrong..
For what kills you not makes you strong.
A poem that I had written after my first break up during my teenage years.
