I Know You're Too Good
Kit Landaal Sep 2010
You like me,
I like you,
But there seems to be,
A reason to not take our cue.

Why, you ask.
The answer is simple.
A man in a mask,
With a single dimple.

He is our block.
He is our hurdle.
Once over his shock,
We'll get to cuddle.

However I know,
You are a true friend.
I know you can't show,
I have to mend.

Kind Knight
Kit Landaal Sep 2010
I once knew a man
Who was kind and sweet.
Where did he go?
Where could he be?
In his wake was left a man.
A tyrant, a cruel, a sadistic man.
The fair maiden loved her knight,
But once he was gone, she mourned full might.
He once loved her, but then turned tyrant.
And yet, the fair maiden will wait for her knight.
What could she do?
How could she help?
She wanted her kind knight,
But the tyrant never left.
He tricked her with words
And actions that mimicked her knight.
She would do anything just to have her knight.
And yet, she keeps waiting,
But the tyrant can’t hurt her anymore,
For she knows the truth,
She has seen the light.
He is no longer her knight.

The Truth Within The Mirror
Kit Landaal Sep 2010
Take a look in the mirror.
Is it everything it ought to be?
Or is it lacking?
Can you see through your own facade?
Enough to see that I still care?
Can you see that what you assume I’m doing,
Is your own creation?
So tell me,
Do you see past the murky,
To the truth within?

On The Way to Happiness
Kit Landaal Sep 2010
At once we had
What now is lost.
And now to pay
The final cost.

Whatever you see
Is just a dream.
For now you stand
On the unstable beam.

So make sure you take
That final step.
You’ll conquer your fears
And exit the cave.

You’ll realize what you want
Is everything you already have.
