Went from the streets to Seattle University.
Without music, I don't wanna think where I'd be.
My story, my life, a piece of me.
Creating music helped me to cope, to gain clarity
Music is a gateway out of reality.

Tragedy
Children and families living in poverty
Holdin on to the American Dream,
But is that better than reality?
Families starving, stuck in a self-fulfilling prophesy
Societal pressure blinding us, can't see
Creates limitations that promote conformity
Kept in the dark, forever trying to attain clarity.
Forget everyone else and who you used to be
Only you stand in the way of beating the self-fulfilling prophesy.

Friends forever, didn't last
Love fades, people grow, memories in the past.
I try not to attach due to my inability to detach from reality.
Labels **** **** up, end up in tragedy.
I can't date anybody, dysfunctional me.
Losing people, good for me?
Wait and see.
Wish I could live in the fantasy that lays at arms reach...
Logic stops me.

Laying here with these thoughts in my head
Remembering the past, thinking about things said.

Coming up from so much sorrow
People thought they knew about me
Rumors believed led her into tragedy
Consumed by drugs, she's become empty
Don't live in people's past, let the person they've become and their actions now be all you see.

Fantasies
Ignorance of reality
Emotions, to be or not to be
Drives a logical person to insanity.

Whats the difference between you and me?
Both falling in love, blind to reality
Sometimes to love is to let go and let things be.
Sacrificing emotions so they may be happy.
Sometimes love leads to tragedy.
Things get better, bounce back, allow yourself to see
Single doesn't need to equal lonely.
You got friends, you got family.
Somethings can't be controlled, not meant to be.
Think positively
How you perceive things can transform reality.

I came from abuse, I came from sorrow.
What happened yesterday doesn't determine tomorrow.
I remember the past so vividly, peoples preconceptions about who I was gonna be
People in my old city thought they knew me
We in a world where we believe in fixed reality
The person you were yesterday isn't who you have to be
Ignorant people talking about , "It's just your destiny"
Stop complaining about life and be free
